Which Indian Bank Debit Cards is PayPal accepting from now on ?

Hi Indian PayPal users,

I want to know whether we can add an "Indian Bank Debit Cards" to our PayPal account ?

If yes, then which of the "Indian Bank Debit Cards" is PayPal accepting ?

Can we use "Indian Bank Debit Cards" for sending payments ?

No debit card....Only credit card...Cant u browse through other threads

 

None so far that we know of. Better get a CC.

 

Its hard to add a DC to PayPal, between its not impossible... i have recently read a few threads about the same in which the users claims that they have added their DC to PayPal for sending payments through it. If you don't have a CC then you should better create a VCC which will last for 24 hours & if not used within the time frame then the money will still be in your bank account. the best option so far, for those who don't have a CC

 

Hello, Lol i think you don't read previous thread properlly paypal can't accepted to the debit card they only accepted Credit card.

Well few moments ago, I tried something which I am stating here.

I need to pay hosting bills which I was paying by paypal. Since paypal is asking for cc/dc, I was having only dc from hdfc/icici/pnb/canara. I created a vcc from hdfc netsafe card and paid the bill successfully. So for now I am happy with solution and trying to avoid paypal as much as possible.

I got account in hdfc by depositing only 10k for a FD account.

Ohh, so the last way is to get a CC from the bank. But, one question in my mind is still running. There are various types of Credit Cards issued from the bank. So how can we know whether which one will be perfect for sending the payment through PayPal ?

 

Any Credit Card can be used for sending payments from Paypal.But best one is Get a Fixed deposit in ICICI bank of RS 20000 and you will get a Credit Card and you get Rs 17000 credit limit.

 

they disabled debit cards long ago i think in 2006 it was allowed

As many of you are aware Paypal now no longer supports using your Paypal funds to send money to other people. The only option is to either use a credit card or a debit card as per the new guidelines.

I have to send affiliate commissions and all my credit cards are now maxed out and my debit cards do no work. Can anyone please suggest some other alternative methods for sending money outside India.

Any advice is appreciated.. thanks!

I asked the specific question to PayPal that Do you accept Indian Banks Debit Cards or not. The answer was yes we do as long as it has a Visa/Master Card logo there should be no problem.

The problem is from the bank side. Several banks like HDFC don't recognize PayPal for Debit Card payments. I have heard that some banks like Bank of India, Punjab National Bank allows debit cards on PayPal. Another major problem is service introduced by several banks in India called Verified By Visa/Master Card. One will have to register their debit card with this service to make online payments. The big problem is that only 7 online websites in India accepts debit cards with Verified By Visa service.

i am having icici bank visa debit card which is also varified visa service but paypal still not accepting it. i think problem is with our banks that they dont allow specific payments to paypal like service, I have another question now i am going to take icici credit card with a FD of 20000/-. will that be accepted by paypal ? any one tried it ? and can i send payments to anyone like unvarified paypal a/c or premier a/c / business a/c personal a/c ? can they receive my payment from credit card ? and there are lots of doubts presently using credit cards.

Yes sir,if you take ICICI credit card against FD of Rs 20000,that credit card will be accepted by Paypal.Many people tried it and Its working.You can send payments to unvarified paypal a/c or premier a/c / business a/c personal a/c.Yes they can also recieve payemnts from ur credit card.

recommendation would be to add another credit card to your PayPal
account, if you have one available.

THAT MEANS WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS FROM OUR BANKS AND NOT FROM PAYPAL.

no need for debit or credit card to verify your account,
Just send them a mail, that you are willing to add your bank account alone, they will send you the instruction how to add the bank details.
I have done this, i got verified account with out any debit or credit card.

Hi I'm new here.
After reading some old threads I thought I need to get an International Debit to verify and pay using paypal as debit cards were accepted.
Meanwhile I verified paypal account using bank verification. It was an extremely easy process. But this way one still can't get any money to/though paypal, you have to have a credit card or at least A VCC.
Got my SBI Gold international visa card few weeks back and I was trying to link it in Paypal which went unsuccessful, it said it's being refused by bank etc,.
Now today I came across this new information which I should have read about before getting the card.
Since December 2009 RBI has employed new regulations. One of it doesn't allow us to use debit cards on non-verified by visa or secure code ANYMORE. And as Paypal isn't any of them our banks reject Paypal, pretty straightforward.

 

Is this true, where can I get this info. What details they need to issue such card. I need one CC in my wifes name, as ICICI debit card is are not working. My recent transaction was declined by Paypal, asking for valid CC.

Also ICICI banks virtual credit cards work? Just now requested one with icici netbanking facility. Will update after adding.
