I seen this posted on V7N by another user and so far it looks like a great marketing ploy that they are using because it is driving me crazy. The site is KeyD.Org I even went as far as emailing the customer support link on the top and just got a message saying that the evolution will be soon. What does this mean? I am confused. I cannot even guess what else can be evolved in the marketing world. Anyone have any ideas on what this is?
My guess is that they'll offer custom "launching soon" pages designed to drive people crazy and build excitement. From their logo is looks like they may be into hit tracking, though I have no idea really.
Doesn't look too exciting. To me looks spammy and just looks like a landing page to build an email list. LOL
Thats one hell of a guess as far as picking their logo apart. Hit tracking though? hmm I dont see that as evolution, what else can be done with hit tracking? People have torn that industry apart.
I thought I would make it fun by putting a poll up. I am being really honest when I say I really want to know what this site is? Could this be something to effect my company or help it? I just dont know. But the suspense behind it intrigues me. Okay yeah, I'm a sucker. Leave me alone, I even signed the email form on the bottom so that I can be updated when it comes out. It is being talked about by quite a few bigger SEO's so I wouldn't just blow it off as being nothing or some lame tool.
It does look like something that is supposed to go viral and cause hype due to the counter running and people being intrigued about not knowing the details. I don't want to judge directly, but it may be just another tracking service website with no 'evolution in internet marketing.' Remember, nerves and emotions may be bad for business. Remain calm and look at things from a safe distance before approaching/getting involved.
to me, its seems like either a legit I.M company which is about to launch its services in the coming month or it might be another web based email harvester, who knows?
It's just a marketing stunt, if they'd be that professional why would they take such a noobish domain name for an internet revolution website?
Now I would say that a site that had a 26 letter keyword rich name would be noobish. But Keyd.org, I don't know, I think it's decent. Besides spammy domains I have never heard of a noobish domain name If thats the case bing.com should be noobish LOL....
Yes, I agree. But looking at the page it's just weird. The title, template, everything actually is just so weird.. totally not like a reliable thing I'd expect. Let's see what happens though
ahh well lets wait and see maybe they will actually surprise us. You never know, right? Kinda like the saying never judge a book by its cover. Well we haven't even seen the cover of this book yet. But I can agree with you it is a bit weird but thats what attracted me in the first place One thing I dont believe though is that this is a spam site. their are a million other ways to harvest emails and the site doesn't have one ad on it so I do think it's legit. It even has a telephone number. I will call them tomorrow for info
I would, since it's a cool way and they almost convinced me to sign up. Maybe if ads would've been up I wouldn't have signed up. Please let us know how the phone call went
It appears to be a fantastic squeeze page. It creates buzz and collects email addresses. Then, when they gather enough names/addresses, they launch a product. I wouldn't predict the product will be 'industry changing'...but it could be a nice traffic generating product or something. I wouldn't frown on this company. I think it's pretty interesting/creative way of creating such a stir and collecting names. ...and who isn't telling us they have the next best thing since sliced bread? ;-) To Your Success,
An Evolution In Internet Marketing Is Coming If you miss this, you will miss what is to be the greatest tool in marketing history Estimated Time Remaining Before Launch(Probably Sooner): I am champing at the bit now guys, only 55 days left to go, yawn. It's just so brilliant they are not even sure of the launch date. The copy is not brilliant either, it certainly does not inspire me to give them my email address, and of course if you or I had invented the best tool in marketing history, would we not be advertising in National newspapers and on worldwide Network News channels, after all, it is such a brilliant product we would have no trouble getting finance to do this would we?
no idea what it is, and also not sure if I'd feel safe providing my email to total strangers like that either, especially considering there is no concrete information about what the site actually is about. Like someone mentioned above, it's probably a clever attempt to collect a ton of email addresses for future spam or something. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong and maybe it's legit somehow.
@hellingent I can see your point, it's definitely a squeeze page and you are right who is to say that this tool or whatever it is isn't going to be awesome. We just don't know. I did however put my email address in the field. I mean come on what's the worse that can happen I get a couple of spam emails and Gmail blocks them. Im not real worried about it, but to tell you the truth I am excited about the fact that something might be coming out to better our community, maybe not evolutionary but if it just helps us make some more money, I'm happy. @anton343 your so right. oh well it's only 2 months or so. @tiddles While your theory of advertising in national newspapers is a good one. But if this is just related to marketing I don't even think any big newspapers are gonna care about the project or it's intentions. We are not the most loved community in the world LOL. Plus it seems as though these guys are keeping this project very tight lipped, maybe they are working out patents, who knows? But that would be a reason for an unsure launch date. @dbonline You could be right but then again who knows, right? I haven't received any spam yet. I will report if I do.
