Worth buying IPB for now?

I'm currently running phpBB and I can't stand it. Is it worthwhile buying a yearly licence to IPB, building the forum up for a year so its financially viable for me to get a full vB license, or should I just wait for vBulletin.

I'm really loosing my rag with phpbb

 

Get vbulletin no point in invisionboard its absolute crap. (All my members ive ever had in my lifetime of forums think so.) And using it usually drives away a large percentage of viewers.

Vbulletin is the way to go my friend.... worth every penny....

 

I also think vBulletin is the best thing you can get.

even the server load is less compare to IPB

 

I have never used IPB though I've registered at many IPB boards.. believe me I don't feel like posting there. I second Alvin's standpoint here.. VB is indeed worth every penny.

 

Hah, yeah, a testament to that is DP itself (it's vB-run).

 

I think that the wait for vbulletin is worth it, nothing is even near it.

 

I am using IPB for last six months and i am satisfied with it.

 

You must not have tasted VBULLETIN!

 

Never liked IPB, was alright for a free board but there is no way in hell I'd ever pay for it.

All my forums are with vbulletin
-they have a great and active community where you can get hacks for free
security wise:they update the software regularly

and it's very easy to use;
