A small source of codes (you may call it as a script/plugin/etc. according your site structure) change the adsense publisher codes (pub-xxxxxxx). As far as I know such scripts can work only with the old adsense script codes since the new type of adsense script codes have additional numbers (ad_slot) to change the ad colors from your adsense account. The old type of adsense script contains color values (#000000 for black) while the new type hasn't. In the past, we had to change all the codes when we need to change the border/url/title/etc. colors. The revenue sharing scripts write all the pub-xxxx numbers to the database when entered by an user and take those numbers randomly or orderly and change only the pub-xxx lines on adsense codes in the html source dynamically each time when an adsense installed page is displayed. All of the cms systems know which pages were created by whom (writer/author) and the sharing script saves the adsense pub-xxx codes of the author and the site owner into the database. If you set the revenue share as 30%, the script displays 7 times of the site owner ads then display 3 times of the author who create that page. It can also display ads randomly with some small mistakes (if you set 50% share to the authors, but the actual share can be 40% or 60% for some rarely displayed pages) Just look for a plugin if you use wordpress. There are such scripts for drupal too (modules)
I don't go for adbrite just because of the same reason. You have to get paid with checks. They don't even pay with Paypal since years. Apart from their payment method, Adbrite is very good indeed. They allow advertisers to buy ads from your site by just 1 click. Those direct ads are not PPC. You get paid for the time of the ad sits on your site. It's a guaranteed fixed revenue until the ad expires. Also you set your own price for 1 week/month/etc. for those direct ads. I am not sure but as far as I remember they were giving a 70% revenue share. Oh I have just visited adbrite. Their homepage looks different than my last visit, probably a year ago. Bidvertiser worked very well for my sites. It was paying me higher CPC's than adsense. They pay with paypal. I moved to it when adsense blocked some of my sites. I still don't know the exact reasons though I am highly familiar with adsense tos since years. I memorized their tos. I remember that they even banned my (their own) blogspot domain They can act like a paranoid when it comes to banning something. . They never told me any reason after dozens of emails. Hopefully they never banned my account completely so far. However I also don't know why they haven't banned my account If there is a secret with Adsense yeah, I am sure of that all of the adsense secrets are hiding somewhere in their banning/disabling reasons.
Excellent explanation from makeit easy The way I do it is a little different for the display. As I said it is allowed to have up to 8 different adsense publisher id on the same page (3 adsense blocks, 3 links unit and 2 adsense search boxes) I'm only sharing the adsense blocks, I display three blocks which I share this way: - 1 for me - 1 for the author - 1 for the author's referrer or for me if the author has no referrer This allows me to claim 100% adsense revenue sharing as the author's adsense id is displayed 100% of the time unlike most other adsense revenue sharing programs. It also allows me, and that is VERY IMPORTANT, to offer a generous referral program to members, so that they get their adsense publisher id also displayed on all the pages of their referrals, that quickly adds up the number of ad impressions! This is VITAL because it's the easiest way to get good reviews and backlinks from other places where people write articles and send visitors to their referral link. Note that before I also had a adsense sharing system in place for general pages such as lists of content pages, homepage, etc. The system worked based on randomness and the number of content submitted by users (a point system). So that every members with at least 5 posts had a chance to be displayed on general pages of the site on a timeshare basis. It's just a little bit complicated to explain exactly and that's not important, you can get the idea. But greed took the better of me and I don't do that anymore, I keep it all for myself on general pages (bad I know)
Interesting info, So if you use wordpress and say download a plug in, someone can be stealing your adsense clicks? say the maker of a certain plug in they could be replacing your adsense with their adsense? That sounds very scary. I remember downloading an easy adsenser plug in for my wordpress and looked on my adsense acount and I had 50,000 visits with only 25 clicks, which is odd, and I was told the easy adsenser plug in was stealing clicks, I took off the donate on his plug in but every time I log out it will go back to donate, and he took a ton of my earnings by placing his ads. How can I check if anyone is stealing clicks from my wordpress? I have like 3 plug ins like the twitter updater one.
This sounds like a lot of work, what sites use this? Does Examiner.com use this type of thing, I see that they pay writers a percentage of ad earnings.
I never heard something like this before. As far as I know, all the plugins on official wp site are checked before published. However, I can't say if misusing of the plugins is not possible at all. You can browse your site then look at the html source to check if your adsense code is yours or not. 25 clicks / 50,000 visits is possible if your site is a forum or similar low CTR sites.. Also if you have 50k impressions on your adsense reports, how can you think that something can steal only the clicks? If your adsense codes are changed, you should lose the ad impressions as well.
Of course adsense is the best and always be....if they dont close your acount....if that happens you dont have (almost) any way to claim....happened to me.....i will never work with adsense anymore....they still have "my" money...14000$.... For me they are a crooks.....one of the biggest companys around the world...but for me and many other publishers they are simply.....crooks....
