Why people are looking for C class Ip backlinks?

So many times I found that webmaster are looking for C class ip backlink. Why is it so important?

I have all my websites hosted in A Ip Class.

Class A 1.0.0.1 to 126.255.255.254 <--- my websites ip adress
Class B 128.1.0.1 to 191.255.255.254
Class C 192.0.1.1 to 223.255.254.254
Class D 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255
Class E 240.0.0.0 to 254.255.255.254

Is is important for seo.

It's not people are looking for class c ips, that makes no sense. It is people are looking for backlinks from sites on different class C IP address than what their own site is hosted on.

Just imagine, if I have a hosting account with two IP addresss, I just go get an extra domain to host on the 2nd IP. I could then link this new site to my original site for the backlink, right??? Well, if the site you are getting the link from is in the 'SAME CLASS C BLOCK' as the website linking to, then it's not as valuable. Google and other bots could easily tell the IP for both sites are in the same class c block, therefore they could determine both sites are yours.

So, this is the whole idea about getting links from sites that are hosted on different class c block than yours.

Usually, if you don't want to create link schemes with a lot of sites hosted in the same web host, you don't need to worry about this. Jamesmm explained all the thing: if you have two websites on the same host without different Class-C IP's and interlink them wainting for a good SEO boost, Google will catch you.
