I love getting rankings in Google and later other search engines. A permanent webpage with ranking is as good as gold. Years after promoting a registry cleaner from 2006 I am still receiving commisions. SEO=residual PPC=pay someone else to make money yourself. Now don't get me wrong I have PPC campaigns running. As long as I make more than I put into it, it keeps going in. I just find that that happens more often using SEO. My latest ads now don't even look like ads. In fact I would argue that they are not even ads. I simply provide the searcher with exactly they are looking for at the right time. My simpler ad pages include opener (H1 tag), unique/relevant article, image, sales prompt. As a copywriter I find these tasks second nature. Ok enough about me. The only reason I mentioned that stuff is to help you learn what I did. 3 tools I have been using for years: #1. Alexa: example http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/craigslist.org# I searched my own website for accurate stats on alexa, spyfu, keywordspy, and more. Alexa matched my accurate logs. Competition is an indication of lucrative markets. #2. Google search trends at http://www.google.com/insights/search/# Need I say more? #3. Google V.S. wordtracker Google kw tool has been useful for years and is free. I preferred their older version where you could add to a list and filter easily. They have a mind of their own. I have become a fan ow wordtracker not for their "accurate search estimates" haha, but for their ability to use Google API to tell us simply how many competitors "on quotes" we have to deal with for any number of keywords. Please try these techniques to improve your website traffic and remember I am always available.
Another one is the google wonderwheel. Just search for something, then click the "Wonder Wheel" link around the bottom half of the left navigation bar. It's nice to find some extra keywords with.
thanks guy , in fact , i have so many things to learn about this , and i know analying a site is the first important thing . and thanks for your recommend tools , they are useful for me !
Not a problem Gal. In fact, if you are new and learning then perhaps you will consider this: Create a blog on blogigo.com PR4 site and all pages you add will get better rankings than starting on a new site or blogger.com. Then use the keyword tools I mentioned to write posts on you blog. 1 post per keywors with a short unique article. Just a few sentences will do. Get a few links to your homepage from digg.com and reddit.com and you have a residual stream of traffic for years to come.
Thanks for provides valuable tips. Basically WT provides accurate result and also provides Organic search volume which is not possible in google adwords tool.
