How to get a quick PR1

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by vinith98, Apr 8, 2011.

    Hello,

As the title mentions I want to know a quick method to get a PR1 for my domain.

I have read somewhere that a single link from a high PR website would be enough to get a PR1 ? Is it true ? Anyone with experience please let me know if it would be possible to get PR1 with just a few high PR links ?

    Thanks for the help.
    Regards,
    Vinith Almeida

Yes it is true, if let's say you manage to get a link from Dmoz, that is PR8, your site will become PR4 or PR5.
But this process i think it takes at least 1 year.
    And the traffic matters also.

Yes, there's no such thing as an overnight PR for a new website. It takes time, traffic and the right inbound links for your sites. The more quality and relevant links you have the better chance you got for having a PR.

I was told by a SEO guy in my local area that page rank doesn't really exist anymore, that Google don't really use it. Is this true, sounds a bit iffy to me.

    Thanks for the reply guys.

So going by what you say, a single high backlink from a high PR website can get us PR1 or more. And yes I do understand that a PR update happens in long time.

You can actually get a PR1 for your domain within a few days and with no links required.

The issue is what keyword or phrase you want to be number one for and in which country (you can be PR1 in the UK and nowhere in Australia). If that's not important then choose a domain name like mcwibblenots(dot)com, put in some original content, upload your sitemap.xml to Google and you will be PR1 for 'mcwibblenots' within the week!

But if you want to be number one for 'laptops' that will take much longer and the previous posts are right - sort of....

FIRST - make sure your on-page SEO is correct (I use a 25 point list) so Google knows what your page is about - without this links don't help much
    SECOND - Link Building

    Good luck with it!

Here are some tips that shall get you what you're looking for:

    1. Get Press Release done. Almost every submission is to PR3+ authoritative websites, which gains juicy backlinks.
    2. If you have a blog then post some guest blog posts in other blogs who are in same niche of yours.
    3. Don't forget social bookmarking to StumbleUpon, Digg, Twitter.

If you do all 3 things with concentration, believe you me, you'd get PR1 [even more then that] easily.

Just get good quality backlinks for your site to rank. And make sure that you get a link that is relevant to your site.

built good backlinks that are mostly related to your niche and you will be on your way to PR 1. But keep in mind that many PR1 or even higher PR are outranked by PR0 websites. To tell you the truth, if your domain and website is brand new, it will take a least six months to get a page rank.

Friend, there is no way to gain PR quickly. Build links as much as you can and wait for the next Google PR update. Good Luck!

Google is not so kind now to give you PR. In every update it lessens the PR from pages. SO don't bother for Page rank. ALways consider on your rankings.

Yeah i heard that PR is pretty much being phased out. So I haven't bothered worrying about it for the past few months myself.

Is the original formula google gave out about how pagerank is calculated i.e. PageRank = 0.15 + 0.85 * (a "share" of the PageRank of every page that links to it), still valid ? Or has been modified ?

Its not very hard to get PR1 for your website. You need to make your website fully optimized. A well optimized site also helps in getting PR. You can build some back links and create a blog within your website. By regularly updating your website's blog, you can also get PR.
