I just bought a domain name for my latest project from buydomains.com for $X.XXX. It has been few weeks since i put an index page with single logo and “coming soon†text on the page and placed 2 backlinks on another site pointing to that domain for the search bots. (Also setup wordpress blog to domain.com/blog for search bots.) Although its been few weeks , Google bots didnt index the site yet and still no search results for site:domain.com query. I began to worry about if the domain is banned or stuck in sandbox for Google search results. Since i expect more than half of my traffic from G search, its a big deal for me. I came across with 15 results when i search the history of domain on the waybackmachine from 2002 to 2009. It seems, domain has been parked for all that time. I know there are lots of ban and sandbox checking tools out on the web which are useless. Is there any way to be sure about the situation? Can/how/should i contact to Google about the issue? Thanks in advance for the precious comments.
It very likely still appears to be parked, so I'm not surprised it isn't indexed. At the very least do something like pointing it at a WhyPark account until you get it developed. Even i...ite built there's not much point in worrying.
thats strange. if you changed nameserver it may not be resolved at google bot so try after 1-2 days to add again
Google is really nasty when it comes to parked domains. It's already hard enough to get a new site indexed and avoid the dreaded Google Sandbox how much more for parked domains. Google constantly spiders the Internet. They're always out there crawling from site to site. Sooner than you think, they'll stumble onto your parked web site and see that nasty parked web page. I suggest you gave it more time. And try to relax of course.
