-Youtube, that is something I am going to be pushing into this year but really how much can it help. I already pull 60,000UV per month. With the youtube is might possibly pull to 80,000UV but its not enough to make a difference for the effort it takes to make a bunch of videos and then promote them.
-Flyers is no good. I have a decal on my car that shows the url, but if you hand out 2000 flyers and 300 people enter the site, its kind of a waste of effort and time considering the XXXX of people a day i get naturally. Its also expensive.
-I can't afford Television Ads. Isn't it like $700 for one commercial on discovery channel. Lol, after one television show and 5 commercials it'll take a year to make up for it. lol. Good idea though. I'm going to check to see how much it costs.
I doubt he did. automatic software is not that good. Not effective at all actually. He most likely used semi-auto stuff for directory submitting "ex DigiXmas submittion"

So most of your traffic comes from organic sources ? Ranking well on Google, etc ? What are your backlinking methods to rank well ? Linkwheels, edu site backlinks, blog commenting, article distribution or other methods ? Also what topics do you earn the most from with adsense ? Health, education, insurance, actual products, etc ? Thanks ....

    hey! first of all congrats!!!
I just bought a site a 5 months ago. I didnt know anything about blogging before 5 months ago. now i'm learning. I have spent almost $1000 worth articles on my site. All are unique articles ofcourse but i strongly believe those are pricey articles. I am a bad writer. So i would need writing service.
but how did you manage articles?
Do you know any good article service which cost less and at the same time provide unique high quality????
Am i asking too much or I must spend money before earning it????

    Any advise will help.
    thanks

No, don't spend anything, its better to do the work yourself. You have to crawl before you walk. I sent you a pm for advice.

The only real question left is: will this thread involve an ebook or 'guru' announcement? There's no shame in that game. I've written quite a few ebooks for such "coaching" programs :)

Yes. When I first started, I was really trying anything I could to do get every single backlink possible. I used some recip linking software, hired people on DP to do different submission packages, used online services to do submissions, plastered my link on different forums, hired people to post on forums with my link, etc.

What I found was really that doing anything but authentic link-building was a waste of time. Google doesn't care if you have a link on 1,000 spammy directories. In fact, this probably doesn't look good in their eyes.

Your focus should be on creating some content that REAL HUMANS will actually read and link to. You can jump start that process by submitting to social bookmarking sites, contacting other webmasters with related sites, and dropping your link on comments for RELATED topics on various places on the net.

Lastly, I really stopped caring about PR years ago. Hasn't hurt my bottom line.

See my earlier post about making money with a blog. I'm a firm believer in creating valuable content for the web, and hiring writers to write just for the SEO purposes, or creating an "autoblog" isn't creating ANY value for the internet. I'd focus on writing UNIQUE, ORIGINAL material that real humans actually want to read.

Most people aren't good writers, but they start a blog anyway because they think they can make money off it. I believe that if you aren't a good writer, you should either find a GOOD writer and pay them well, or find another way to make money online.

Looks like you have a pretty good thing going there. One word of advice is that patients is key. Ranking well with Google takes TIME. And I'm not talking about your time spent on doing work for it, but simply time to elapse so that your site becomes more aged. I've found that a lot of the success I have had on my site is just allowing more time to pass and my Google ranks have gone up.

The next thing I would personally recommend is getting your visitors involved. Have you considered allowing comments or starting some sort of forum? This helps create more unique content for your site, causing your site to grow, without you having to really do anything. Maybe look into some dinosaur question and answer thing.

I really don't do much backlinking anymore. I think that quality backlinks are what you want, rather than some spammy automated garbage.

The URL can be found if you read the entire thread. I'm at about a 35% marginal rate. I have an accountant that does everything, so he has been saving me money by claiming depreciation on websites that I buy.

Yes, most of my traffic is organic google.

Again, haven't really done much backlinking as of recent, however I firmly believe in creating QUALITY content and getting QUALITY backlinks. Anything spammy is useless in my book.

All of the sites I buy already have tons of backlinks, so I never do backlinking on sites that I purchase. It has already been done for me years and years ago.

I earn the most from the Health niche since my most popular site is in the health niche.

I have my users create content for free by placing reviews, asking and answering questions, or discussing topics on the forum. I really don't believe in paying for articles. The only content I ever pay for is when it is on an existing site that I am purchasing.

Not sure what you are asking. I log into adsense and it tells me?

I don't think so. The only thing he has promoted is that he's selling sites on flippa, but that's it.

Time!. Jeez I should've just bought dinosaurs.com for $1000 or something. The site is 4yrs old, how much time are we talking here?

I used to run a VB sidelined with it but it didn't really go anywhere. You gave me an idea because you are right. The site is not interactive at all. I'm going to add something this week.

1- You forgot to compress your pages.
2- Your DNS is problematic. One of the problems is missing nameservers (see RFC2181 5.4.1)

I can find more when I have more time for this.

Yes, you definitely should have bought dinosaurs.com for $1,000! That would be a great domain buy!

4 Years is a good amount of time already, but the more time that passes, the better.

Definitely get the users to interact with the site and grow the content. Google likes to see updates and new content steadily being rolled out.

uhhhhh, I didn't forget. I just don't know what you are talking about. Compress the site? Jeez, I'm going to have to look into this.
the what? lol. Here, do me a favor and check again. I assumed that if my nameservers where missing than the whole site would not work, but I could be wrong. Is it fixed now?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_compression

Your DNS is now worse than before. Move your nameservers to godaddy (I know you like bob so much) or use better paid services.
