When I try to leave feedback for: raindrops (scammer btw) I get the message: shmootz, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? Certain forums have specific requirements for posting, which you can find here. Some areas (for example premium articles) are only available to premium members. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. ------------------ How do I add negative feedback for this scammer who stole my money?
He always prefer to reply in such a way that arise another question, in this case that question will be "what is (technically) an established member?" which is also the reason why he himself is the most established member (technically ) Hope it helps.... LOL
So what qualifies you to be an "established user"? I've purchased 3 domains, and have also been ripped of for $350.00. Doesn't that make me an established user? Thanks, Mark Freeman
You're considered as an establish member when you're eligible to create a thread in Buy, Sell or Trade forum. - Dynashox -
So I was wrong when I said only Shawn prefers rounded answers. OP asked why he cant make BST threads, Shawn said because he is not an established member, then OP asked how can he be an established member and you added when you will be able to create BST threads.... Cool stuff.
Let me correct you first : Op asked why he can't leave feedbacks for users (Itrader) Im agree with you . lol @shmootz : You must have been a member for 14 days, not have an overall red reputation and have 25 total posts . Hope this help you
Proably admin and mods punish new members with such replis to make them rough & tough enough and learn how to "DO IT YOURSELF" so that they are used to it and face less problems in future when they have to stay here. How caring!
Nah, if that were the case, we would just say "use search" since it's been asked and answered 100 times.
On soap box..... I would like to make a comment to the management since they are involved in this thread. It seems to me that the 25 post requirement is not really fair to either sellers, or new buyers. I have bought three domains now, but since I don't meet the 25 post requirement, I cannot leave positive feedback for the sellers who have given me excellent service. It doesn't seem quite right. off soap box
It is unfair for a very few people and gives DP a spam and scam free environment. So it is good. You can wait ( if you are here to stay) and contribute something useful to the forum and then can give itraders. there is no expiry date of itraders so dont worry. Would be more inclined to block new users from buying stuff than allowing them to give seller feedback. Just too many issues of fake accounts set up to boost people's feedback rating.
Well, you are approaching the issue with much more perspective than I am. It's just unfortunate that a few rotten apples have to spoil the party for legitimate users.
HaHa Ok, let me re-phrase that then, It's too bad that So Many rotten apples have shown up at the party to spoil it for the rest of us. Actually I have first hand experience so I guess I shouldn't complain about the policy. I took a bite of a rotten apple and it cost me $360 bucks!
Doesnt matter you are new or old on this forum, you can be cheated anytime if you dont follow precautions (read that thread yet ? ) If you are cheated what most you can do is to leave a -ve itrader an alarm other members (and open disputes in credit card / paypal) As admin said that new members are discouraged to buy and sell because they are too new and thus not familiar enough with the rules etc. So it is good that they wait before buying/selling
Where can I find that thread you referred to? I have read the rules and general faq but I don't recall anything regarding safe buying practices.
There isn't a specific FAQ about it, it's all common sense stuff that should apply to everything in your life, but there's a little info here: http://blogs.digitalpoint.com/entry.php?b=89 Most notably, ALWAYS use an escrow service.
