Done with Redirection in .htaccess file still it shows site with out www

    Hi,

    I have done permanent redirection from .htaccess file from non-www version to www. But still when I open my site with out www it doesn't get redirected to www version.
    I m new to SEO. Does it take time to redirect ?
    When My site is indexed with www ?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

    is that big problem if google indexing your site without www.

    If your site has been indexed, it's over. No one care about how google indexing your site.

    No its not over if your site has been indexed without www.It will affect the Pagerank of your site. Have you checked backlinks for both these site with and without www? It will show you different backlinks.It affects greatly.

    Yes I have done that and its done successfully.
    My site redirects to www version.

    Check if your redirecting code is correct. Once the .htaccess is saved, it should redirect instantly after refreshing the page.
