    Hi guys,

Please help. After migration to the new hostng 6 mothes everything works fine, but during last month I have an issue with a site access.
5-10 time per day site (web access) is completely unavaiable. I need to restart while VPS to get it working.

It's hosted on VPS and the 1and1 with

    Operating system Linux 2.6.9-023stab052.4-smp
    CPU AuthenticAMD, Quad-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2352
    Average load 0.36; 0.19; 0.11

    PHP+MySQL

    During site (web access) unavailability:

    VPS control panel is available
    MySQL current queries is empty

I not a nix guru and I need to ask a community to help me with this. What else I need to check to find out the reason of such issue?

    Please help.

Where do you host this vps?
Have you tried talking to the support?
    What scripts are you using?
How many sites do you have?

They did nothing. Maybe they are trying to check the website when it will be available, but they said that everything works fine, no hardware issues, software works as usual, they are suggested to check QoS Alerts, but there is nithing there/

Maybe I need to check apache, mysql, or something else durng site unavailability? During unavailability site loading is minimal, so it's not server load, but I have not any idea what is exactly :(

I don't know, but if web access from your VPS fails they should check it out and see what's going on. Are you sure your site isn't causing a high load or something similar?

Yes, I'm sure, I have wrote custom script which checks every sql query and every hit, and I can see that site is loading as usual.

I found 1&1 to be terrible for VPS and hosting in general. My sites would go down for hours, and then they would just reply saying "well it works here for us so there is nothing wrong". If I were you, i'd back up your sites and go find a decent provider. If you look on webhostingtalk.com - in the VPS offers section you'll see there are tons of decent providers with good ratings

    grep MaxClients /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log
    Code (markup):
    See what that does

Agree with you, 1&1 is terrible for VPS, but I want to find a solution to solve my http access issues, if I will not find anything in a week I think I have no choice after that and I will be obliged to migrate to the new host

QuickVPS.co.uk are brilliant - and if you look in the advertising section on WHT James normally has a discount code to get 40% off. I run a couple of small projects on a VPS with them and i've never had a better VPS.
