I have a huge variety of niches. After a bit, you learn to sort of identify which are going to give you the highest paying clicks. Health, Surgery, Real Estate, Loans... anything that has to do with expensive stuff!

Actually this is the first time that I have ever came forward and announced that I was successful. I'm not making any money by answering people's questions or trying to help provide motivation. If you look at my blog, I've had it for over a year and mainly talk about my travels. I've only posted a few times about making money online so far, but I've never announced that I have been quite successful at it. Furthermore, I don't have a single ad or try to sell a single product from my blog. I make $0.00 from my blog, and just do it for the enjoyment of writing and helping others.

If I were trying to sell you an ebook, or send you to a spammy site, then I would understand your objections. However since none of that is the case, you look silly bashing someone who is genuinely trying to help others.

I believe shoemoney didn't get rich by telling people he is rich either.

The only reason that I announced my level of success was to show people that I know what I'm doing, and I am a person who might be able to give good advice because I have done well. Why would you want to give advice to people if you haven't yet become successful yourself?

Exactly. Some online projects I do entirely for the money. Others, like this one, are done purely for the enjoyment of helping people and writing.

You won't ever see a posting on my blog about me bragging.

Continue promoting at all angles. Onsite and offsite. Onsite promotion would include creating more content so that you rank for more keywords, and offsite would be any type of link building, social media marketing, article writing, guest blog posting, etc.

My starting earning pattern is almost the same (o.8$ in the first month, 20$ in the second). I would like to ask what exactly did you do to increase the traffic and hence the income. did you do seo mostly, or did you increase the number of posts, or social bookmarking. and also is this blog (tomsadventure.com) the one you are getting your income from.

    Thanks

"I got rich!...$$$$" That's usually the best line they could come up with... and you can read that basically everywhere in the internet...

Congrats Tom on your success and glad that you posted them for us to read about it and be inspired. Just a few days ago I began to insert ads on some of my sites which to this day I have earned almost $2 which is great:D Woke up this morning finding out I earned $1.74 and I had only had the ads in since the end of the month.

Looking at the very beginning of your stats it seem like it wasn't an instant success as you had made $.68 on your first month and (wow!) $16.15 on the second what a grate turn around and even better as you had progress as months went by (awesome stuff).

I had not put G-ads since 2005 and only had them for a few months as an experimental as I hated google ads or any ads for that matter, but I tested and within a few months of that test run I guess I had made $29 and to this day Google owes me that same amount (which I have not collected it yet) and I don't know why that dint inspired me to keep it going instead I pulled all the ads out on all my sites, now if I had left it there and continued on adding contents from 2005 to now, I might be the guy posting a similar story as you did,.. or maybe not.

Just posting a feed back to let you know that most of us readers appreciate your post and the success you've had and wish you much more success in the long run.

Enjoyed the personal page as well, man would I love to do that, well I tried it last year (no RV though). But will try that again.

    Thanks Bud!

I'm not sure what this thread is all about.
Someone claiming he gets 10k a month from adsense. Are you going to share more details how you accomplish that or you just tying to get 10 clicks to your blog from DP and this is all about. Getting 10k a month, your daily traffic should be 60k unique visitors (or something around that). With such traffic you will be busy with your website and not just wasting your time here on DP.
Very "inspiring" but sounds like a spam.

May I ask what you didn in 2010 that made your income leap from 3k to 10k?
Because before that you were only increasing about $1000 per year.

Did you use any tool like SEnuke or did you just get lucky doing the same thing you did all the previous years?

Very impressive Tom! If you don't mind me asking, what's your CTR? Or is that against TOS too?

Everything. Offpage/onpage SEO, posting more content, getting the users to post content (reviews/questions/answers and such). Tried social bookmarking to no success. My blog makes $0. It is just for pure enjoyment.

Not sure what you are saying. Out of the 500+ posts I have here on DP, this is the first one sharing my success story and opening it up to questions.

I've got about 50 sites, and one makes 45% of the adsense income.

It has been tough to manage them all, and that's why I have started selling off the lowest earners, so I can focus more on what is working.

I purchased most of the sites, which are already getting traffic, so I just buy into positive cash flow. The sites I build, I do everything I possibly can to promote them.

That is exactly why I posted my earnings per month over the last 5 years. To show you that if you are making under $100 a month after your first year, you just need to stick with it and eventually you'll be successful. To show you that it DOESN'T come overnight.

Why would I want 10 clicks to my blog that has 0 ads on it? I can't believe some of the negativity on here. If you read the whole thread, it says I got 1.5m visits in March...

This is a great question. I actually broke up with my girlfriend of 6 years and decided to travel the US in an RV. I started working fewer hours but working smarter. Also, I was placing larger adsense units on my pages... 300x250 units instead of 160x600. Also noticed a huge change when I went from 250x250 to 300x250 since so many more ads are targeting the 300px wide one over the 250 wide one.

    Against TOS!

Would you be willing to help a person with getting or making sites and putting their adsense on them and then splitting the adsense share, like 60/50? I am wanting a partner to help me with making websites with adsense in mind but I don't have a lot of money to start with so that's why I was thinking about splitting over half in the beginning.

No, sorry. You've gotta do it on your own! There is plenty of info out there on adsense placement. A big part of being successful is figuring out how to do stuff on your own. I never had a mentor or anyone who helped me along the way.

This is exactly what I mean - no really helpful info there.
Just sharing your success? - who really care. The idea to participate in forums is exchange information. Sharing success - nothing informative there.
If you so successful, why not to share with DP participants the website that gives you that incredible revenue and we all will learn from there.
