Different between Black Hat and White Hat SEO techniques?

Perhaps, but I do know a lot of academics with PR7 and PR8 pages who wouldn't know what PageRank was if it bit them on the nose. I guess you would say they paid by virtue of the excellent content they put together?

 

Thats not true. Even google themselves makes a distinction and congratulates webmasters who use white hat seo. Of course they don't want black hat so will encourage white hat but you get the point.

 

Those academics more or less rank because their school has a big name, don't they? So everyone links to the school? They paid to get their name out there, so they are in some form, paying for the links too.

 

And one thing, if all SEOs are black hats, it's like saying all websites are banned from Google

 

I think you mean - "should be banned" from Google. And I would disagree - I know people who put content on the web - do no SEO - thus have natural organic search results for their content.

 

I think you both are right. The best site is one that has good enough content to rank by itself where the links come in one their own but this is not always possible so white hat seo still works.

Black Hat = using methods frowned upon by SE's

White Hat = using legitimate optimization methods that are agreeable to SE's..

 

Black Hat SEO uses techniques that somehow bends the rule of a particular search engine. SE may or may not known that the techniques being used by a particular practitioner may exist. But most of the time, sites using the said type of technique are penalized or even banned.

There are plenty for free now. Dont get banned for using Black hat Tools (Specifically if you dont want google to Get you off the list)

 

Black Hat --> process of deceiving the SEs ranking or getting traffic the fastest way...A process forbidden by SEs which result from banning sites doing this process...

 

Blackhat is ike a bandaid fix

Pretty soon, that wound gets bigger and then you get banned =P
