Hi, I accidentally send a payment of 20 USD to a wrong Paypal ID. I was supposed to send a payment to someone and mistakenly I took the ID of another seller with whom I never had any deal. Payment status is completed. I sent an email to that person and requested to initiate refund from his side but he is not replying. Can I open a refund request (dispute) from my end?
I contacted PayPal when this happened to me, and they were quick to respond. Make sure you have the ID of the correct Paypal account when you contact them.
Its amazing to hear this, but I am not sure if PayPal can do this if the person in the other end doesn't agree. But obviously mail them and open up a dispute. They may got to help you in this. Will like to know what happened finally.
Just open a dispute immediately will works but unfortunately I didn't do so last time and I fought a long battle to get back my money lol
Dispute the transaction definitely. The funds are in the wrong hands, and PayPal should be noticed about this as soon as possible.
Are you a preferred account holder? If you call the preferred line they are always very quick to help out. I love PayPal's support
Great, lucky YOU Seems like the person refunded you is a genuine guy. WHAT A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF, NOT READING THE COMPLETE THREAD AND POSTS and just replying anything. Guys the OP has already mentioned in the thread that he has got the money back
