Reputation at DP

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know how many of you GIVE good REP or BAD rep and how often.

Like I always reply with reviews, ideas, scripts, etc.... and ONLY 10% of my replies get a good REP and sometimes its GREY, but whatever even if its GREY, I am happy that someone is thankfull, though he can't create a website, do a SEO or code for me but he expresses it by adding (or trying to) 1 REP point

So how often you do it and when when you are mad at someone? or when that person helped you achieve something

I myself add REP point to anybody in my or other people's post when I see that that specific user did something good in DP.

 

I hand out red or green for anything noticably below or above par. Greens for particularly funny posts as well.

 

yes I wanted to give out a couple of reds to those who make stupid posts just to get their few posts and put a thread in buy, sell or trade

 

You might just loose ur 1 point in giving other member a red and u still have few greens as well.

I green people who i think are really funny and really helpful to me.

 

i do it too, but not only when they are helpful to me, but others also

 

I give out green when
1) a member help another member
2) a member bring me info that i don't know before

i give out red to ppl who
1) violate forum rule
2) spammer
3) dishonest in BST
4) ask for green rep

I try to remember to give rep for anything that seems out of the ordinary one way or the other, good or bad.

 

Green for contributing in some positive way to the forums, usually.

Red for being sneaky in buy / sell forums or exceptionally rude or dumbassed elsewhere.

Ratio of about 40:1 ~ greens:red

 

I don't think I have ever given out an red rep, but I really try and give out green rep when people have helped me, though I must admit I don't normally give out much green rep when someone makes a really good post in response to other people's threads, but I guess it's something I'll have to more of now that you guys have brought it to my attention.

 

Whenever some one offers something totally new that I never heard before I give a green. You have to do something really messes up for me to give a red. It's not really in my nature.

 

i think many ppl give out green reps just on funny comments . i got twice recently for such .

Is there any way of viewing what the rep (green / red) was given for?

Finding out which Thread / member giving the rep?

 

click on the Rep from your CP, but you can't find out who gave it unless they mention their name there as a comment

 

Green if someone helped me out or posted something I wasn't aware of.

Red for posts containing misinformation.

 

I sometimes give green reps. to members with nice avatars

 

That is about 90% better response rate than my helpful responses get. I think most people just give the green to friends and funny posts and I'm not generally a funny guy.

But that's OK. A lot of folks helped me out years ago before vBulletin ever incorporated a rep system into their scripts and I like to give back when I can.

 

Is there any way to find out who you have given rep to? I'd like to see how much repuation I have given out...

 

As long as I prodominately speak in the political forum, I'll never have many greens....

oh well.

 

I give greens to the people I like or I like the post they posted..
I only give greens,don't give reds..If I don't like the comment,I just ignore it.
