When you ru something away from filesonic to some other host - let's say fileserve as a hypothetical example - you enter your user/pass for filesonic at fileserve to do it. Now ... it is a simple matter to harvest all those user/passes - they could even use them randomly to leach from filesonic on behalf their users. Ok fileserve is not likely to actually do this as it's not a leeching site like the ones discussed above, but that list of user/passes would be very valuable to leeching sites like those.
Seriously I can't tell you just how easy this is - I could write a script to do it in less than an hour. There are other ways to harvest these accounts too - usually there is no encryption when you enter your details at another file host so any half decent hacker could grab them even without having access to the server/website.

I can't help wondering if this is how some people's accounts are being compromised, and why they are eventually closed by filesonic for 'suspicious activity' .
Look at it this way - if I offered to upload a nice file to your account and all I need is your account details so I can do it ... would you give them to me ? Hell no (I hope !), but that's what you are doing every time you ru away from filesonic using your premium account.

Filesonic premium download speed now very slow, limited to 113 KB/s, hope due to some maintenance work.

Can you please stop the filesonic to filesonic remote-upload method??

I spent more than 3 days to upload some files which is more than 60 GB, after I posted that thread.. just some hours after another guy posted same files with exact file-names.

this is really not helpful, I can understand that a new file-host have to allow RU like this but this is going overboard..

becoz of this i stopped uploading new files to filesonic and using another host ..

hope you understand and you know that I am not the only one who suffering from this..

Best answer is to add in your site name screen shot & make file .rar also add there your site name in .txt also use protected password with your site name then no one leaching files from your posts

 

Making rar files is not good choice coz I upload more than 300 files per day and I cant rar every single files!

RAR and adding text files are good method though but why we have to do this double work ? why cant we just upload files straight from torrent ?

I am uploading since RS era and I never Rared or added Text files in my uploads.

to be honest though I am not using Filesonic for making money, its for another mirror, backup and just sharing files to the community.

in simple though.. filesonic to filesonic RU function really not good for real Uploaders.

hello, I get this message wen i enter filesonic "We have detected some suspicious behaviour coming from your IP address (my ip goes here) and have been temporarily blocked. If you feel this is an error, click here to report it to our technical team." but the website to report it http://blocked.filesonic.com/report.php does not work. Please fix this
