FileSonic works great but in near future nobody will earn anything from filesonic because of two reasons.

1. If user enables PPD: Premium downloads do not count and free downloads are a litle cheated. Two or more free downloads from same IP count as one.

2. If PPS: In the last days more and more people complain that they have no sales related to their files plus as more and more people buy Filesonic premium after short period of time there will no more premium sales and users will not be happy to upload more to this company.

have a leeching system and the premium user in these sites can remote upload and thendownload fast as premium user from many other filehosters including filesonic. If you are premium user to this site is like being a premium users to 10 sites at once. Who will buy in the future filesonic or fileserve"s accounts if these leeching system sites get famous?

Apart from that FileSonic is working very well, very fast apart from the bad technical support as if a user creates a help ticket he/she never gets reply back....

I am thinking of moving to FileSonic...If these problems described did not exist I would have done it already. Any suggestions please.

 

i can tell you that it is a great place to be in. and my sales have increased recently, a fact that contradicts what you said. in time it only grows larger and there are more sales. it is just a question of how and where you post and promote your content (website, blog, post in forums etc.).

and mate, PPD is worthless, the real money is in the PPS

And what about the sites with the leeching system intergated to their system.?

I became premium user for testing today to the first one (easybytez.com) and with the leechnig system I can remote upload all filesonic links EXIST IN THE WEB to my easybytez account and then download them with my premium easybytez account or even worse for the uploaders to post the mirror links in forums worldwide. nO need to have filesonic account for that. Only Easybytez. Same thing about fileserve, megaupload etc all supported by the easybytez site. leeching = It is very new system for link remote uploading without need to buy premiums in any other company. Just the one with the leeching system.

In near future no one will buy premium accounts to all other companies. Any suggesion about that? No sales may be made in the future due to this system if it gets famous.

 

everything looks like a big success at first.

only time will tell how things will develop. for me, this is the perfect place (and believe me, i get many offers to start a similar thing on other hosts, with great benefits. but i remain devoted).

This system is the paradise for downloaders and then catastrophy of uploaders.

 

I have a question: i told a guy for Filesonic, gave him my Premium referral link... he registered but my refferals didn`t go up at all. Am i missing something... what is the difference between ordinary ref link and premium ref link. Thank you.

 

Filesonic can block retrieving premium links to this site.

While my account may not have been hacked, something happened obviously. There is no way my account should have been accessed from 8 different countries with 8 different ISPs. If you see suspicious activity on somebody's account, wouldn't you notify them that something is wrong and advise them to change their password or account?

On March 26th, I got an email from Filesonic that said my password had changed. By that point, I couldn't access my account, and I clicked on the confirm link, which got me access for a brief while. I tried to change my password, but the system wouldn't let me. I was then logged out and haven't been able to access it since.

I paid a lot of money for my account and I should be able to access it. And I should have gotten a response from my initial support ticket. So can you please unblock my account or give me directions that will allow me to unblock my account?

but shouldnt FS premium account be better? i dont understand why the premium features of FS is so bad when it has such an awesome affiliate section! why cant they make it better?? am so dissappointed in filesonic premium. i thought they would have improved it over time, but even after all this time, its stil the same

and how do you plan on remote uploading from FS to MU/HF/RS for that matter?

 

I have asked this before & filesonic guys told that if they enable direct link generation from premium accounts (like most of the competitors like rapidshare, megaupload, filefactory etc) premium users might post this direct link on forums and no one will buy filesonic premium etc.

Like ALT12 pointed, leeching from filesonic is very easy nowadays no need for any filesonic premium account, but for transferring to megaupload you need filesonic premium account.

 

Only working way to prevent file leeching from filesonic servers is to password protect links using filesonic site feature.

But if files are password protected even premium users cant resume downloads, schedule downloads etc.

Filesonic should bring some desktop downloader to combat this problem so that even password protected links can be downloaded easily while effectively stopping leeching to other hosts.

This is not the case of this site alone, almost all new hosts can leech files from filesonic, fileserve, rapidshare, megaupload, filefactory, oron etc etc and its virtually impossible to block as leech server's ip & ip ranges changes frequently all the time, they use advanced techniques to hide their real ip.

 

Whether filesonic stop ru or not files already existing on filesonic can be leeched away within seconds to newer hosts.

 

thats not true. except megaupload, you cant use fileserve, hotfile, rapidshare, etc direct links for downloading by anyone except the premium user who created the direct link!

if they are afraid to provide direct link to premium users, may be they can create a system link rapidshare which uses premium login to enable download unlike megaupload which provides temporary direct link
