Hi guys, Could you share your experience here if ever you'd tried rappelling and wall climbing. thanks!
I've done both, but man rock climbing is a LOT harder than you would think. I'm rather athletic, and the first time I went rock climbing(my school has a 100ft. indoor rock wall), I looked ridiculous. After a little while though you start to get the hang of it, and the biggest thing is you climb with your skeleton not your muscles, but its a lot of fun. Definitely worth a try imo.
I've been wall climbing also. I agree with mnicklas14, it was quite a bit harder then I thought it would be. Finding the right angles and pieces to use can be tricky.
I've tried wall climbing, though at first with trembling legs. but for next will be familiar with the guidance of an instructor ...
We have lots of indoor climbing walls and they are fantastic. Don't know if I'd be keen on cliffs tho!
I've tried once rock climbing and I will never do this any more. It was frightening and without any support, so I was withing a hair of death, but my friends were laughing at me. Real nightmare!
What a drama queen! Without support means no ropes? No training? No muscle conditioning? Thats just dumb, no wonder they were laughing. full marks for stating the obvious. People like extreme sports because you use skill, strength and experience to counter the risks. Nothing better!
