Should I be looking elsewhere?

Not trying to show off or toot my own horn but here is October so far:

This is from 2 google ads per page on my site which traffics around 45k visits per day (approx 80k page view/day)

I've been running Adsense since March and it has been a very linear progression of visits and revenue with a pretty bright future ahead of it (but I know it won't last forever).

Thing is, I'm a web applications developer who decided to make this site on the side and never even expected it to do what it has. I never even thought when I was making this site it would be in the public’s eye, let alone what it’s turned in to, let along the revenue potential I had. I never even considered running ads until my bandwidth was exceeded and since then I am quite astonished and I’m an utter noob at the whole online advertising world.

Should I be looking for alternatives? Should I be talking with someone at the Adsense team? Or am I just overreacting and I should just let it ride as it has letting it take its course?

Let it go. You say there's a linear growth in income, but what about traffic? Are you getting more or new traffic at an increasing rate?

As far as I can tell, you're doing fine. Great even. Keep it up and enjoy it :).

Looking for other alternatives is also a great idea.
You can place product affiliates based on your site niche.

Whats your ecpm? I doubt if you will make more with any alternative unless you have private deals or perhaps good affiliates, however, affiliates do not work well with all sites.

What you need is more banner ads...and pop-ups! those things will really off-set your earnings :)

Without know what your site is I can really tell you how to improve. PM me the url if you'd like.

If this this was totally unexpected, I'd let sleeping dogs lay for the most part. I might go ahead and be affiliated with other ad servers and compile a list of appropriate products your niche could promote and earn commissions on.

if that's from 1 site? then that's amazing..leave that naturally expand and continue to persue higher rankings and perfect the site in terms of SEO. Then - build more sites!

For a site that gets 45 day those earnings are expectable, nothing worry about there. Why don’t you post your link so we can see the site, that would also help.

With 45,000 uniques a day you could throw up one 468*60 CPM banner with TribalFusion and you'd earn additional lets say 90dollars/day. And a 468*60 CPM banner doesnt hurt anyone.

And exactly why would that lead to a lot of copy past??? I’m sorry but did not get it. Every single site on the net can be copied but it doesn’t mean that it will, now does it???

    Thanks for the tips all!

I think I'll also just let it be as is and keep on what I have been doing to it for the past 1.5 years. I'll keep lurking here though, looks like a lot of good info to be found ;)

Yes Every site can be copied there are copyrights exists too.

Now Why I said there will be lots of copy paste because his site makes some good revenue with adsense, people try to copy his content layout and other ideas which remain unique uintill one does not know about success stories he/she does not feel like copying ;)
