What is better for facebook a Group or Fanpage

Hello I would like to know what is better A fanpage or a group? I own a fileshare site so I need to know which one is best.

 

If you are manually inviting people, then create groups. It allows to send out “bulk invite” so you can easily invite all your friends to join the group. It is also better for viral marketing (any group member can also send bulk invites to his friends).

If you want your page to be visible to unregistered people and indexed by search engines, then create a fan page.

 

hmm so what exactly are the pros and cons of each one. From what you say it makes it even harder to pick, as I don't know wich would be best

 

Great content with your reply. I didnt know about it. Well, I Prefer Groups instead of a fanpage.

 

It actually depends on how you are going to use the medium of Facebook. If you go for fan page, then you dont have any option of adding friends to your fan page other than doing some viral marketing. Since more than two weeks Facebook has disabled the option of suggest to your friends, you have to aim for getting more and more eyeballs to your fan page by viral marketing.

Facebook group on other hand has been a very steady and also easy way to promote products on Facebook. I would advice you to right now go with a facebook group, add as many friends to this group and then promote your fan page on your own group. This way you will use the benefits of having a page which will also be visible to unregistered users. BTW now-a-days you will find very few people on this planet earth who are not registered on Facebook

it depends on various factors, use both for promotion.

 

A group page allows you to link together your current users under your page, but a fanpage allows you to advertise your site and your product without any specific group. Each has its benefits and drawbacks.

I think group is better because all members can post on wall and be seen each other. Fanpage have setting which allow only the admin to post to wall and be seen by all fans

 

Ofcourse a Group is better.. In a group we can add the members ourselves but in fanpage, we need to request others to like the page..

 

I've seen a thread like this before. Well, for me I rather go for groups. You can advertise in groups also and your friends will likely to invite others to join in the circle. More members more opportunities.

 

I think fanpages are good. Better than groups.

 

I think Group is best ..cause here you can add lot of friends and get good community.

 

I will go for Facebook fanpage, Because there you can create mini site so it means website inside the facebook. So it's more chance to promote your business.

Fan page is far more better than group as you can contact with as many persons at the same time other than with the case of groups...

 

That depends upon what you want to do.
A group is made just for friends and got a limited number of members
but a Fanpage is for your Page's Fans, and it doesn't have limit of members (likes)
