When I search for my Site for a specific keyword it is listed at the first page at 8th position. However the meta description which is visible on the Google when searching for that keyword starts of with "Mar 27, 2011 ... " and then the meta description details which I entered. is there any way to remove showing that Mar 27, 2011 ... in the meta results while viewing that search term on Google? As my meta description starts of with my Keyword to start of with,I dont want it to be seeing differently while viewing in the Search Results. Thanks
Is the date being included in the description tag in your actual page, or is it just showing up in the Google listing?

Sorry, my bad. Apparently this isn't just your site, it's a feature of Google search and has been for a couple of years. I guess the theory behind it is that if you're searching for time-sensitive information you don't want to waste time reading forum posts made 10 years ago.
