What are php frameworks? and How Ruby on rails works?

    I'm a new php student. Some of the buzz words that disturbing me are, object oriented php, php frameworks, Ruby on rails ROR. Can anyone explain them to me in an easy way?

    Is Ruby on rails in demand? Can you lead me to a good tutorial source?

    PHP and Ruby both are completely different web programming languages. You can start with any of them. Ruby on Rails is Framework for Ruby. If you are new to web programming then I'll advice you to go with core programming get some experience then move on to frameworks. Hope this will help you :)

    Core programming languages such as? So do I need to learn Ruby before moving on to Ruby on rails? Can you give me example use of Ruby/Ruby on Rails? I thought PHP has connection with RoR.

    I donno much abt Ruby coz I am PHP programmer and I'll suggest you to go with PHP. Core I mean that start with basics first.
