For the global outsourcer, it's the end result that matters, not the location. Both countries have workers a varying skills. Expecting a certain "type" of result from one country (rather than the other) is stereotyping, and the wrong way to approach outsourcing.
I'd go for philippines. I know Philippines, I've been there. And I know they are speaking english really well. At least most of them are.
I have used workers from the Philippines and have been very satisfied. I hear India is great too but not as cheap. So I guess it depends on your budget. When I was looking I found that Philippines offered more people for "office type" work and India offered people for more "computer type" work (if that makes sense to you) good luck!
Even Indian companies are outsourcing their work to the Philippines. Filipinos are more competitive in content writing but technical wise, Indians know a lot.
Filipinos are good being a VA. if you want someone to scrape data from someone else go for indians.. they'd make it like its a glitch
phillipino tend to be a bit cheaper and english skills and arguably better (but not in all cases) also easier to find reputable phillipinos from places like bestjobs.ph
I like that Shawn....i programmed small html sites in the 90's and stopped... Ive been wanting to pick up and learn php for a while now. Whats the best way to learn? Trial and Error? Any Books. Do you do the design too? To the OP (Original Poster) : I live in the USA and have outsourced to 2 companies both in India and i had an extremely bad experience both times! I like what shawn says - "DO IT YOURSELF"!
I do it all. Because like I said, "if you want it done right......" Best PHP resource is just the online PHP manual really.
