Hello friends, any body familiar with basic tips, strategies or suggestions of how to get EDU links to a none edu website ? Thanks a million AffiliMan
You can also use dedicated search engines like http://www.edublogfinder.com or use Google to search for .edu sites....
Thats fantastic, thanks, from my experience the hardest part is to get the webmasters of edu sites approval but i guess that I should continue until i manage.
@AffiliMan You can also sign up to edu and gov sites, not all of them will provide you sign up option but still some are still allow to sign up you. Once you sign up you start interacting with people by commenting their posts but wait don't place your link to your first discussion. Interact with them for some days and if you feel you have made enough pots, comments try yo put your one link in your next post or comment and wait for a 4-5 days and check your post if still you can see your link to that post it means you got the balls. But don't place your link in your every post or they will spam you and remove your account. Hope this will help.
All ideas above are great, you can also go to google and use search strings like, "site:.edu "powered by vbulleting"" will work with any forum powered board.
Yeah, i second that except their is a typo in the dork! the correct dork would be: site:".edu" "Powered by vbulletin"|"Powered by Phpbb" This search will reveal all forums which are powered by either vb or phpbb and have .edu in the domain name
http://imservicesolutions.com/ - Bunch of EDU link lists, also in my sig. Or you can do it with manual searches. Just an FYI it takes many many hours to put together one good list and I do it regularly so as a beginner it would take considerably longer; so weigh your time vs the cost
edu or gov link is really good for seo if they are dofollow I hear people say one backlinks from edu or gov link is better than many many backlinks from .com / net or other domain
Any source on edu and gov links are better than .com/.net? Heard about it quite often but not really see a good explanation
finding edu comments and adding a comment and linking to a not profit post is a good way to get edu backlinks
