Is there a term/word for these? "Start pages"? "First pages"? Whenever I start my computer/browser, there are a handful of websites that I always open. I've created a START folder in my bookmarks, and I open them all as soon as I open my browser. I would be interested in reading up on how a website becomes a part of this "start page" and what sort of websites usually appear on peoples' "start pages". Thoughts?
I have installed the Alexa toolbar in my IE browser, so when I start the first two windows open in my browser automatically is my site and my blog. This way I make sure that I have already opened it atleast once a day. Later on I go ahead and start with my mails, gmail and then the DP forum I have also installed the addons of latest news, weather and time tables on my desktop, so I can view them before I start my work for the day
Sure there is a term and we better call them as 'HOME PAGE' You will find the option to setup your homepage in almost every browser like I.E, FF, Chrome etc...
The first site I visit when I start the browser that is google .. because google is a subordinate display my computer ..
In Google chrome browser, the websites you visit most come in your start page. But you can remove them too. Or also there is option to directly open one page. Depends on how you wanna keep it.
For a few years now, the first thing I am doing when I am starting my browser is reading the mail. Then start working.
It feels good when people appreciate your work! It would be even more better if you add some rep for me Regards
