We like both the above for the clever design, especially the first one by Dante777. The one by jardo is more professional. They are both very good, and while trying not to take any credit away from them, somehow neither strikes you as "wow, what a brilliantly smart design" like the ones in the link in the first post do. Thanks a lot for the entries though.

Unfortunately not the cleverest design or the most relevant but very striking and very elegant indeed. Highly commendable effort on the S. Very boring and generic rest of the logo is a big downer though. Here's an idea off the top of my head. Since it is a cursive writing, can you try joining the three a's in the logo in a creative manner and see if it looks even better? Or something of that sort. In fact, you don't even need to highlight the fact that the business name is in fact made up of two words, because our target market won't even know what the words mean. You can just write it as one continuous word if that would suit your design better. (I have put the sentence in bold for the benefit of the others as well.)

What I am saying is, the text part of Amazon's logo is boring. But the arrow below it pointing from a to z makes it just brilliant. Looking for that kind of creativity and attention to detail. Anyone can use a generic font from the internet and make a logo. But to actually design a logo that will have a uniqueness takes more than that.
