Hey, For a while now I've been reading up on how to improve my SE ranking, but I do get confused as their are so many techniques. So my question here is; What works for you when you try to improve ranking? Can you give any recommendations; articles, ebooks, etc? Thanks
in my priority order: 1. light weight (remove all unnecessary javascript and redundant CSS) 2. div div and div, throw table away 3. get backlinks from similar sites
start from directory submission, list of directory can be found at directorycritic.com then start commenting of blog of same niche by searching for your keyword in google. Write an article and post it to article submission site, make sure that those sites allow a dofollow link to your site. revert back if any questions
Well directories don't do much so I rather not waste time. I'm asking what is your approach to things, when you are looking for back links or about to do an article submission, etc. Another thing I was wondering does PR really help improve my site ranking? We are talking about the other site that is linking back to me.
Directory submissions is old school and does not work. Obtain high PR authority links from web 2.0 properties like squidoo , hubpages etc , guest blog posting on high PR sites, article marketing , link bait creation (this is the best) .
That's what I'm thinking of, The weight of 1,000 PR1 links does not weigh more then 500 PR3+ links or am I wrong?
PR is just a number nothing more What is today PR 0 can be PR5 tommorow What is PR 5 today can be PR0 tommorow .. I build links with all the methods Variety quality and quantity is the key ... Dir sub are oldschool you say and comes from the guy that probably doesn't earn even 500/month ... learn the ropes don't make idiot afirmations just to show uf or consider yourself a "expert" i'm sick and tired of all those ...
Are you sure about your statement? probably you are saying this because you don't have good ranking or Alexa.
I believe the first most important step to improve your SE ranking is to optimize your site properly.. If you're site isn't optimized properly then you'llhave a hard time climbing that ladder. Once that is complete. I'd slowly start building your links...
start building your backlinks and dont stop, keep doing it everyday and use different methods to get your backlinks
Well lets state this now, all code must be clean and correct no exception. I understanding that it takes hard work and may consume a lot of time, but yet no one has explained the differences between comments and posts(including QA sites) or why you rather use Yahoo Answers or Wiki Answers, etc. I want a general overview on how you go by things, and a small detailed explanation would help.
