Hey guys, I have a website which is my main site (mybrand) the main site is for example: www.mybrand.com Now I have different TLDs of my brand, like www.mybrand.net , www.mybrand.org , www.mybrand.us and .... Now, how can I make the best results from my differnet domains to have better SEO ranking, (Google ranks and Alexa and better traffic) I also have a community forum, do you think it is better to host the forum in the main website too or I dedicate another domain for the forum? yes.. good question... You can host your forum with main website domain.. and i think never affect to your ranking.
if hosting the forum in the main domain never affect my ranking, why should I do that? !!! and what am I gonna do with the rest of the registered domains?
I think he meant to say that it will "never affect your ranking in a bad way" . Incorporate the forum within your main domain in the directory that will make the forum and the main domain share traffic and rank . Like if the forum gets 100 visits and the site gets 150 different visits then the entire domains alexa rank will get the benefit of 250 visits . Also depending on your geo targeting select your domain extension . Like if you are selling gold fish in america then domain.us will suit better and if you are an global online brand like a Wordpress theme seller then go for .co or .biz , both are more expensive than rest of them but google trusts them more and you will get a ranking faster with them . well, Currently I have no geo targeting. I have registered all the domains TLDs, But I have no idea how to use them. Should I park them or forward them to the main site? or should create a website for each one with link to the main site? what is the best decision for the other domains?
Personally for me, I will build other domains to link with the main domain. Other domains can be blogs, directories, articles, etc to bring in targetted traffic that will complement with the main site. Forwarding the domains to main domain will not have any benefits.
Blogs and articles or directories. Well in the previous posts we came to this conclusion that hosting forum and other materials in the main site will give us a better results in search engines and alexa and .... so maybe it is better have all articles and blogs in the main site too.
What I meant that you have unique articles / blogs / directories / etc for the other domains that links with the main domains. Of course you can have articles and blogs on the main site but not the same articles or blogs as other domains.
