Hi People! I have read on a blog that Search Engines takes urbngeek.blogspot.com and www.urbngeek.blogspot.com as two different blogs. I host my blog on Google Blogger and I want to know is there a solution for this problem? Can urbngeek.blogspot.com redirected to www.urbngeek.blogspot.com or vice versa? Please Help!
It is true that search engines see both domain as different sites. You should perform what is called is "301 redirect". This will tell the search engine that the "non-www" version of your website has been permanently redirected to your "www" version. Here's how to redirect your "non-www" to your "www" version of your website: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite\.com [NC] RewriteRule (.*) http://www.mysite.com/$1 [L,R=301] Write this in a notepad document and save it as ".htaccess" and place it in your website's root folder and there you have it. You have just redirected your website.
