I just redesigned my company website. What do you think about: 1) design, logo, typography 2) content 3) usability / user experience Your honest comments are very valuable for me, please rate! http://www.code-digital.co.uk
Looks good. Social media wise are you only on Twitter as its the only social network I could see? Are you on LinkedIn? In other words consider showing other social networks if applicable. Also in the portfolio section should Free have a capital F mid sentence? Also why not have a case study to show what clients (if you get clearance) asked for and what you delivered. All potential clients see is the finished website so how about showing how you actually solved their issues ie I need a site with more interaction with customers or where i can manage the content. Perhaps a video would be a good way to do this.
Looks pretty good, though I have some things to say. 1. Get a favicon. 2. It's a bit slow to scroll on the site. 3. Personally I don't like thos super-huge image previews. 4. It might have been better with a white content background instead of a transparrent, and then use dark grey text on it. This is because white websites says that you are professional. Transparrent are most likely found on private blogs etc. But that's just my opinion. =)
The presentation is great, the content is easy to read and not "busy". Did you make a mobile version ?
Looks wonderful! You should see the local web designer sites around here, it's a miracle they get work at all haha. I think it's all easy to see and the portfolio area is right there (that's what I'd check first.)
hi, thanks for you comment! As for the social media, I have a fb fan page but it's not popular and it will look cheep if I will include it, I don't want to give that impression to the potential clients. Linkedin - yes I have my private profile, but I would rather not give an impression I am a single person / freelancer. That's why I didn't include it too. Case study - yes, it's a very good idea, I must do something like that! thanks : )
favicon - spot on! I will do it : ) white looks more pro and corporate, I agree, but we want to give impression we are cool and fresh and do crazy creative work : ) we used to do so many corporate websites we puke with white colour : ) we want some fresh and crazy stuff now. I will keep it dark : ) As for the big carousel on the front, I am considering getting 1/3 of it for a description.... still thinking.... : )
No, I didn't - it's a great idea, but might not be so cool anymore if I will strip it out. Do you have any cool examples how it might look like?
I do not have a link, but some mobi sites are longer and allow the visitor to just scroll down. The menu is going to be CSS and the graphics will be toned down. The overall look is not changed.
Great website design and layout! Just one suggestion for you to consider is: Under the Services section, it will be good if you can add in images to make your site more attractive. Hope this helps. Richman25
The logo looks good and creative but has two horns. If you wish to be crazy goahead. Logos need to look pleasant for a professional webdesign since it represents your image. We will not be sure how your customers will interpret. The final decision is always yours Thanks Sakhsen
Now thats is what i will say a quality and proper designed site. except the twitter is still on loading: http://screensnapr.com/v/KJHUuX.png would suggest to create a FB fan page, to get clients or like.
Yes, I agree it's a bit risky, but I am not using it on the website anywhere yet, I got "full" logo there. There are many opinions about the short one, which I use here as my avatar. You either like it or hate it : )
