What i am asking is, is it a good idea of registering a domain name after a famous brand name and optimizing it for keeping ads on it of the same kind. I mean if it is a car brand, advertisements will be of other brand competing with this brand. So all of you please come to the point.
Weh, I thought others already made that clear and to the point since page one. Some of us just expanded further on what was already answered, yet you still originally decided it is worthwhile. (In case you didn't know, Codbox, those who subscribe to a thread gets emailed any and all replies to it. So some of us still have a copy of you first saying it's worth it.) Do you really still think so then? Because at the end of the day, only you will deal with it if you still choose to do that. Again, it's your call.

Cybersquatting is so outmoded. I can't believe you are even talking about it. the only way you'd make any $ out of it is if you created a site that was plausibly the actual site and then you'd get killed for all sorts of trademark violations. Locally I see so many examples of big companies finding the cybersquatters have taken the halfway decent domains relating to their company name so when they want to launch something related to their main business they'll pick up a "catch phrase" domain and then use their marketing clout (ie lots of money) to get that phrase well known. They're probably also suing the squatters and what it comes down to is balls. How terrified are you of actually being taken to court by the other company? How likely are they to follow through? If you are in the same country as them then I'd be pretty worried of a big company. However if I was in a country like India and squatting on an American company's domain I'd be a lot more bolshy.
Codbox, the point is you want to make money off someone's brand or trademark, yes? It has already been said you can't do that without their permission, and I do not know how else to make that any clearer for you.
Tread with care I know someone who was sued by easy jet for having easy weddings even though he had owned the domain for many years. Mind you he did try and theme it to look like easy jets site so it was partially his own fault
