How often are "Links to your sites" updated in Google Webmaster tools

What are the intervals for google to update the links for your site? I believe it was updated today for my site http://www.opreie.com but it remained empty for weeks.

Same question but for open site explorer? I found a posting that said 45 days freshness but I wasn't sure if folks can confirm. Google thinks we have more than 2 links.

It varies. I do get updates by 14 days usually but not more than by 21 days.

 

its probably varies for different sites.
webmaster tool is sort of useless getting a good picture of the backlinks, since it only shows a few recent and important ones. yahoo site explorer it lot better tool for this.

 

that's right it really varies.. its part of google crawling system..that's why its important to have links .

Mines were recently updated as well, they usually do the update once a month or so.

 

in between 14-21 days it gets update. sometimes it may take longer or shorter but that period is standard....

 

yahoo site explorer is normally better but apparently it does not work Today

 

mine gets updated almost everyday but a time comes when it remains stable for almost a week :/

 

Google does what he wants when he wants it known lool

 

Google will tell you about dofollow only and Yahoo will show all including nofollow.
