Really depends on what type of images you need if you need really good looking and professional grade images you can try flickr. Search for images with creative commons license and see what kind of CC license it has. There are images under CC license that they are free to use and alter but you cannot use them in commercial purposes and there are some that you can use freely as long as you credit the photog. You can also try morguefiles dot com most images here are free to use and you dont have to credit the photographer. hth

I tend to find with images, you get what you pay for. A lot of free sites don't have a range of quality pics, so the payment sites tend to be the only choice. Speak to any developer friends as they may have an account with a site and may be able to get you some pics cheap.
Technically any image that you use that isn't copyrighted you are free to use. You can't get in trouble for using images that don't have a little copyright or trade mark on the page. ~ Slutz ~
Go to Flickr and choose creative commons license. Most of the above websites do not allow free use for commercial purpose.
Search on the net & check if its copyrighted? if not.. then its fine ! You may use it. Copyrights laws generally says that technically you've changed the design or product and tried to make it your own design.
