Link Reported As Abusive

I sent friendly messages to people with the link to my fan page. Several days later somebody reported it as spam (I assume so) and now I can't send this link to anyone. So, does it mean that the page is doomed to be empty from now and on or is there still a way to promote it?

Can't you contact Facebook and ask them about it? A solution could be for using a different URL that redirects to your site.

Yes basically, you cannot just go out there on Facebook and keep sending your link to your friends or fans. There is a smarter way to do it, which you should implement. However now you will not be able to use that particular link, because it has been marked as spam, already by the Facebook bots. If you wanna promote your site, just post the links on your own fan page and later share and tag your friends. Now that your url has been blocked, better make a short url of it and post it in your fan page.

Also remember whenever you send a link in a message to anyone, you get a warning and you need to fill in some letters so facebook know that you are not a bot. Whenever you get such a warning, that means you are doing something wrong on Facebook and you need to stop ;)

Can you tell me these "smart" ways to send a link of my fan page to people? I think there is no other way I can share it with others except leaving a link in groups and on my own wall in my account so that friends could see it, isn't it? Well, I don't mention paid FB adwords...

Yes that is the way, but you have to do it very carefully. For example, come up with some attractive image and a catchy title and short content and post it first on your fan page. Wait for someone to comment or like the post. After 24 hours share the same post with atleast 10-20 of your well known friends, so the post will be displayed on their walls as well as their homepages (which will be viewed by their friends too).

Then again after 24 hours tag atleast 20 of your other friends, so the same post will be dispalyed on their walls and homepages too. In the meanwhile if any one comments under the post, keep a related reply to them at regular intervals. If no one comments by the time you tag new friends, then after couple of hours, you post a comment from your own ID.

Right now, the main objective of doing all these stuff is to get the maximum number of "eyeballs" for your post which was posted on your fan page. And then eventually these people will show up on your fan page and your site, if the image and title is interesting. For this you should also come up with some viral marketing stuff to be posted ;)
    Hope this helps !!!

this kind of strategy is a part of black hat techniques and it's not a good practices.

    thanks ;)
    just trying to help.

hmm... but I would not say it as black hat technique, rather would name it as a viral marketing step :)
The only reason I am coming up with something like this because, Facebook has disabled the suggest to friends option from the fan page. And now-a-days its is very difficult to increase your fans except your fan page is related to some celebrity page :D

you can use link shorteners to mask the links you are posting, but you should not suppose to post more than 15-20 links in one go as those get banned again.

    Hope it helps,
