What is a MASS PAYMENT option in Paypal ??

    Hey friends,

    I have come to notice since my last few transactions on DP, that many of you dont know what is a MASS PAYMENT option in Paypal.

    When you log on to paypal, scroll right bottom and you will see the mass payment link, click it and read it carefully. This is very great tool if you are making several payments together OR making just one payment more than $100.

    Normally, when you send a payment to someone, they complain that paypal have charged them for the transaction and you need to send the paypal charges too which is around 4%. However if you make a mass payment, you end up paying making $2 or $4 for even a transaction of $500. So here you even save money which the paypal unnecessary charges for the transaction to take place ;)

    I don't believe there is a minimum limit for mass payment. You can pay any amount through mass pay.

    I've never paid more than $1 for a mass payment even for transactions upto $2K.

    Ofcourse there is no limit of sending money in mass payment, however while sending only one payment of $200, I was charged $2. Are you saying even when you made 2k payment you got charged only $1 ?

    Yes, exactly. And this didn't happen once. I never paid ore than $1 fee.

    thanks for the info, i didnt knew the hidden benefit of it :D will ask my clients to send big payments via masspay only to avoid paying unnecessary fees :)

    Yes and because of this I even make the buyers aware of this method. Most of the buyers just send the exact amount and we are the ones which have to bear the extra paypal charges sometimes. This way the buyers will have to just pay hardly $1 for the transaction.

    The only thing they have to do is make an xlsheet and put the email address, amount, currency and some message (if required) and upload it to the paypal mass system, which should not have any issues ;)

    There is a second option as well, which is make mass payment through a text file (.txt). People like me who don't like excel much can use this :)

    Yes honey, there are several options like : TXT or CSV file or the way I mentioned before in an xlsheet ;)
    Sometimes, the people sending money to us, do tend to be lazy even for $1 or $2 and would say cannot send such payment. Try to explain them properly that its for your own good :D
