In my opinion nearly everything microsoft does is done badly.

I just got the messages for downloading IE 9, so I did, in the back of mind I knew there would be problems, everything they do they do badly.

I can install the latest version of FF in about 2 minutes without problems.

Anyway I download IE 9, it starts to install and basically freezes, I wait about 10 minutes, nothng happens, have to reboot. For me thats just a typical example of another useless microsoft product.

When I reboot it hasn't been installed, I totally give up with Microsoft, they suck at everything.

I installed IE9 today, Win7 freezes for 5 mins then ask me to restart. After restarting, Win7 starts behaving abnormal and it seems systems is slow now although I have 3GB of Ram.

I got IE9 right after it was released. I must say its definitely a beauty of the web. Offcourse it has a couple of drawbacks like it crashes sometimes for no good reasons but still its much, much more better than what MS had done in the past.

    You fell for Microsoft's PR.
Being better than crap isn't much to brag about. IE9 is half the browser any of the others are. Known. Provable. Verifiable.

I use Firefox mostly, every once in awhile I'll use IE. I just installed IE 9 last night, and very ugly imo compare to what it DID look like :p They need to hire a new designer lol

Already downloaded for a test, appeared very crappy by looks, its better to use firefox and chrome, instead of the new IE version. I guess it even has to add more colors to its look.. lol !!!!!

I installed one of the last beta builds. It crashed 1 in 5 times that I used it. Uninstalled it.

I'll wait for service pack 1 before giving it another try.

Why bother? You're attempting to use a browser that's 3 years behind all the others! I've never seen so much wasted effort over this thing.

drhowarddrfine, please stop hating MS. I installed IE9 on my Win 7 x86 machine with 4GB of ram and it works much better then FF at least for me. No crashes, etc. Maybe a bit slower than Google Chrome. MS did a great job this time.

Other than the fact that Microsoft created this thing, what does that have to do with it?
If you like pretty blinking lights, IE9 is great! If you want technical superiority, IE9 is the worst piece of trash to come out of Redmond since IE8.

You look at a car and you think, "Gee, that looks pretty" but what do you want to do? See how it performs on the road, right? Some people liked the looks of a Yugo but would you want to drive one on the highway? Just like a Yugo, IE9 lacks the technical abilities of ANY other browser. Incompetent and inept. A web developer's nightmare. See my link below.

Otherwise, if you can't comment on the technicals, you shouldn't be commenting at all.

I'm gonna wait for IE 20 before I will even consider putting IE on any of my PCs. The first 9 versions stunk, and I can't imagine them doing anything right with the next 11 versions or so.
