But why dont mods help me in editing up the thread a bit. I just want to stick up a bit more to forum rules. and I am selling a product which is in compliance of forum rules. Why dont mods do anything, is my question and purpose of this feedback & suggestions thread.

Has nothing to do with you personally or your thread, just has to do with it being impractical for mods to be able to manually edit posts (almost 15,000,000 posts and 2,000,000+ threads).

I can understand the burden of mods, but not all those 15 M posts are requested to edit and also mods are constantly editing /deleting/updating threads on request daily. I saw thread updated in 1-2 days but mine is not done in 150 days, thats why I cant understand this reason. even if there exists a waiting list, I must have cleared the queue many times till now. thats why I am frustated. And sorry for being offensive all the time, i didnt meant it.

    Oh yes it does.
As far as I can remember this is first time psharma and myself publicly
asking Mods to edit one single post... make it two posts. Am I wrong?

And you never will because this forum doesn’t need any stinking reason.
Why not? Well, because Boss doesn't care.

    :)

Who said I don't like the place?
People who like something are the most vocal when they want to make what they like even better.

But you won't know that. Now would you?

Because if you'd be my employee and keep talking to me like that you'd get the paper that says "You're fired".

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Shawn appreciates all suggestions and he even adds new stuff to DigitalPoint and all, but after reading all your posts now, again, he has either two choices:
    • Keep posting his very own opinion about this issue, which will make a long thread full of yes-no's, like it's been now
    • Just doing what you request to let you stop talking about it and talk negative on every single thread here on DP

That last sentence might be exaggerated, but I can't see that many positive comments from you about this forum -- and that for a person who likes this place?

I also have my suggestions for DP which I posted, but if I get a 'no' I'll accept it and eventually in a later stage our admin can come back to his 'no' and make it a 'yes'. Just not for that moment, because other stuff is going on or there is a lack or intrest or blabla.. ;)

First of all I wouldn't work for somebody like you because you don't have any idea what debating concept means.
Second, the reason Shawn continue that discussion because he understand another concept "having an opinion".
Third, something every debater know, being quiet in dead end, being open and honest about your way of thinking
and how you feel about subject is the essence of discussion that in the end will expose absurdity or bring consensus.

Learn about the differences between debating an issue and attacking the messenger and then come back for discussion.

The consensus has been reached we need a implemented option to relist our services in BST the members agree and Shawn agrees . The implementation part is lacking .

    @ Shawn :

Excuse me , I have only read the first page of this thread . At this time there are currently 1,733 users online and 504 of them are viewing BST threads . Lets say one out of three DP's visitors are engaging with BST section . So then , one out of three DP's earning is from BST because of the advertising spaces (Except Adsesne) . And Im sure 70%-80% of your earning from Adsense is from this section too .

Well , I think it will be better if you respect sellers and buyers a little more and provide them with their logical demands .

    @ All :

In fact you are not owner of this forum :) And there are not any written rules for the owner of this forum for supporting and providing user's requests . Lets all thank Shawn for making this forum and bringing this great opportunity for our businesses .

Well if you are going to try and calculate the "advertising worth" of users, you also have to take into account things like what time it is and where they are from. B/S/T is used by users that are a far lower value as far as advertising dollar (like probably 100x lower). You make far less from advertising for users in India, Pakistan, Iran, China, etc. which are the users that use B/S/T at a higher rate than your average United States user. Currently it's 3:30 am in the United States, so yes... the US traffic (which generally the US traffic care less about B/S/T) is going to be low right now.

You could also try to put a value on the users based on if they buy premium memberships or not. Currently I see 105 registered users in B/S/T and of the 16 premium members that are on right now, 0 are in B/S/T... So again, it's generally a low dollar value user.

Personally, I don't really put dollar value on users when deciding what we are going to spend our development time on, but since you wanted to... :)

First of all , Adsense is blocked by Iran government and none of ads are showing in Iran :)

Secondary , I am completely agree with you on clicks worth . But lets track users activity after 12 hours :) Maybe only 50 of them will be online in BST section :D

    Well , I personally think premium membership is only useful for people using BST for selling their products , services and etc except those want to "Donate" DP . { Was just an idea }

Again I was only re-calculating BST value for you , As I mentioned before Im only a "User" here [Smile]

    I just saw :

So happy to you and users [Smile]

Nah, most premium members are users using the keyword tracker and site owners needing our Sphinx Search system.

    best for users???
I don't think he cares about what is best for users. Example.

Last time we waived $6.00 value charge for 'express inclusion', at least 22 DP users got their sites listed in
AMRAY directory where as our new offer, only 1 user cashed on that opportunity because, thank you Shawn
our new offer was merged with 4 years old thread 2 days after we have posted it.

Now you be the Judge if Shawn really cares about users or gives rotten ratatouille about them.

    :)

Kind of reminds me of the time we had someone from China furious that we violated his human right to free speech because we deleted his spam threads about selling fake designer bags.

While one action may not be in the best interest of the user it affects (like deleting spam), it's in the best interest of the community as a whole.

    You're comparing apples and oranges.
We're not selling anything but giving people an opportunity to save few dollars.

The best interest of the community as a whole???
Well, you need to explain to me how keeping $6 in their packets contradicts community interest?
