Does facebook have a friend limit per account?

    5000 per account except some cases where the account owner is a singer or someone important, but he does not want to open a page.

    They are right about it , no one can have more than 5000 real friends , they just do it for promoting their stuff.

    5000 friends per account and it is kinda very hard for me to have 5k friends in FB :p

    i think facebook has friend limit of 5000 , but this limit can not be easily reached because facebook has tough spam detect system

    it depends on some criteria too if your invites are denied from other persons they will impose small time restrictions

    As far as I know, it is only limited to 5000 friends. But it's too much for an ordinary person. Maybe if you are a celebrity or famous icon. :)

    5000 is the maximum amount of friends that one is allowed to have linked ones account... and I agree that is a limited number, but I know that I will never reach that limit in my life time.

    Yes the maximum number any Facebook account can have as friends is 5000. Lots of people had issues talking about why these limitations exist. The actual legal reason is that Facebook wanted to make sure that all the users only add real friends to their account.

    So I guess they set up the limitation on the highest number of friends an individual can have. However through my point of view, I think the actual reason might be scaling problems which made this necessary. Any one agrees ?? ;)
