Is my company at risk if I do not accept paypal?

I have a company which currently only accepts AlertPay and Google Checkout. I cannot use paypal because I have a series of limited accounts with them and when I opened a new account for my company they limited this.

So is my company at risk if I do not accept this gateway, because I simply cannot accept this form of payment anymore.

Well, PayPal has a user base of more then 20 million

If You are not using PayPal then you are simply loosing the customers whose preferred mode of payment is PayPal

I would suggest that you do some research first and then try to add PayPal to your site again if its possible

Yea, thats the thing paypal is so popular I don't really want to lose potential customers, I will try and re-add it but I am quite certain paypal will keep limiting my account.

I hate PayPal with a passion because of their draconian ability to basically shut you down, without you having much recourse. I agree that there are lots of users. But there are plenty of sites I buy from that don't have paypal. Doesn't matter to me. If I trust the company, happy to create an account and provide my credit card info.

You should consider other options which allow you to accept PayPal and credit card without having a PayPal account like 2CO and Plimus.

Generate code from PayPal buttons and integrate into your site code.

The best and trusted online payment option for most of the buyers around the world is paypal. So obviously you will loose atleast 30-40% of your business, if you are doing it online or through ebay. If you have a series of disabled account with paypal, then my advice resolve it as soon as possible with paypal by talking to one of their representative over the phone. OR create a new personal account on your or any of your trusted employee's name with a new credit card or bank details.

I don't think PayPal will limit your account without any solid reason in place?

The question is why would they? if you still have any questions about your account being limited without any valid reason then, you must talk with a PayPal phone support officer or just mail them your issue- i am sure they will give you a helping hand, at least you will came to know of the reason about your account being limited

Paypal is notorious for freezing/limiting accounts. Just google the issue and you'll see what I'm talking about. People aren't making this stuff up.

I agree with this part. Of course, we mustn't forget that any service that accepts credit/debit cards will suffice.

80% of ppl are just using PayPal for a credit card transaction any other gateway will do. You can buy a Visa/MC at any cornerstore in the world pretty much. Plenty of gateway companies that offer PayPal anyways and pay out 2x a week if you really wanted to take it

Still i don't understand why would they limit an account without any reason?

I am aware about the issue and its nothing less hot then adsense accounts being suspended but, we all know that adsense only suspends an account when the publisher violates the T.O.S, i strongly believe that the same applies with PayPal, if you are not in compliance with the T.O.S of any company then they have the lawful right to terminate/suspend your account for the same!

Using paypal is never risky pal. Its secured though some guys still break into it when you expose your info on just any site. You can also use ALert Pay
