Everyone makes mistakes, but especially when first started out. What was your top 3 mistakes when you first started internet marketing. For example, here's my 3 My 3 biggest mistakes was 1. Believing the hype over the facts! 2. Not sticking to the basics ... because they sometimes seemed too slow! and 3. Impatience for results!
My first mistake is starting too many blogs and closed all due to lack of time. I learnt - "Slow and steady wins the race".
First mistake in online marketing I made was to delete a search campaing from adwords by accident. Second mistake to believe that online marketing is the future :-p
My biggest mistake is reading and looking for ways of earning money through affiliate programs and not sticking with one.
wasting all the time trying to get a edge and trying to always study more than actually going out there and practice things.
Amen to that!!! I always say even the turtle finishes the race! Getting started is absolute necessary to win, how much more important is finishing what you start!?
Yes another gem! The formula is "learn + apply" I know in the beginning I got stuck in learn mode and almost blew my brain out with "info overload"!
My biggest mistake in the beginning was not treating this like a serious business! Being frankly honest I treated this more like a lottery ticket than a business! ))
another noob mistake is sitting on forums all day long reading you dont get anything accomplished by reading nonstop - you need to read a little then incorporate!
My biggest mistake when I started out was that I didn't build any relationships with authoritative players in the markets I went into. For instance... Let's say that you wanted to create a website that promotes dog training products. It would be wise to build relationships with the people who are already in the dog training market. Give them some free promotion every now and then, send them tips on how they can improve whatever it is they are doing, ask if they would like to be a guest blogger on your blog, etc... If you take the time to build relationships with the authoritative people in the dog training market, and 6 months down the road you decide to create a dog training product, chances are, the people you built relationships with already will be more than willing to help promote your product. Most likely, they have lists already. You can leverage their lists and authority, while building your list and authority at the same time.
Well, some of the biggest newbie makes I see happening are: ~Trying to make money too fast ~Not using unique content ~Not knowing how to market
1) Wasting a lot of time and accomplishing nothing. 2) Rushing into everything, desperate for results. 3) Not paying enough attention to content. I'm happy to say that I've overcome all of these problems.
you need more action than anything you can plan and perfect anything till the point that it will never be a working product
