Back to old hosting provider or new.

I have been with JustHost for, lord knows how long. For a year or so. I have a completely trust in them and they has been helping me with so many things. But one thing that has been bothering me.

Before I say anything, I was with GoDaddy a while back, in '07-'08. For a month or couple and moved immediately to other because GoDaddy was on my bad side, as GoDaddy didn't support at all and they were too slow with supports and as well loading, especially page loading.

JustHost has great speed of loading, great support and everything is great for 2010 and 2011. I am very pleased with them. Lower payment for faster loading then GoDaddy in '07. But the thing is, I am comparing to GoDaddy '07 and JustHost '10 and '11. Is GoDaddy good in 2011? Are they faster than it was in '07 if you even remember how it was in '07?

When I visited GoDaddy, I still see a lot of negative posts in forum on their website about GoDaddy and such. But often I ignore the negative feedback and focus on positive feedback. I was searching for the pricing and seen that GoDaddy just has a 4th generation of host. (4GH) which is what got me really curious.

What I am asking, is what your opinions on GoDaddy Vs JustHost. I hated GoDaddy with passion but at this point I am willing to go with whichever is faster. This is about Shared hosting (ultimate on GoDaddy).

I am just afraid to go back to GoDaddy and then it becomes mistake for me and then going back to JustHost. Because I don't like switching, and I won't stay on both at same time as it's too much for me at this moment but I can afford GoDaddy ultimate ($14) monthly to begin with, that only if I quit JustHost.

You should always be more interested in negative reviews instead of positive reviews, since a lot of the positive ones online have been made by owners or employees of the company itself.

Other than that, in my opinion Godaddy is a great registrar, but a really bad host. And like you already said, I'm not the only one who has that vision about them. I wouldn't go back to Godaddy at all. They screwed me once but won't screw me twice (I also won't go back because I have now my own hosting company, apart from that ;))

If you're happy with your current package at JustHost, stay with them. There won't be any trouble with site transfers, no support problems again and much more. If you're looking to change, try looking for other alternatives instead of Godaddy.

    Best regards,

If you are happy with JustHost, and "hated GoDaddy with a passion" why move? Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

As Aquarezz said, most registrars are terrible webhosts. I can't think of a single one that gets overall good hosting reviews.

As in my post. I said that I hated GoDaddy in '07. But was wondering if they have improved a lot and become better this year (2011) than it was in '07.

Some hosting provider gets better than before or worse than before. Every year they either gets better or worse. GoDaddy was bad for me in '07. But the thing is, I really don't know how it is in '11 since I haven't been with them for years obviously.

Well, I'm sure they have made changes in the past 4 years, but generally speaking, as I mentioned, most domain registrars are not good hosts. GoDaddy is no exception. If you're happy with JustHost, I see absolutely no reason why you should move.

But this can't be the real problem..

Are you really satisfied with the hosting you get from JustHost? If it would be, you wouldn't be thinking about any of your previous hosts right now. That's the weird thing, if you are happy though and JustHost fits for your needs and is affordable for your budget (although they have so many hidden fees I remember) you should stay with them ;)

I am actually happy with JustHost and they don't have hidden fees. I get charged with what I ordered for monthly which is around $6 monthly. But I am just basically looking for a backup in case if my website gets too way traffics for them, as it will happen to very most of any shared hosting provider.

I know it's a weird thing to say, honestly I think so myself. But generally, I am just seeking for higher hosting provider. For example, GoDaddy, 1and1, etc. Not justhost, uh.. Hostgator? And rest of others. What I am saying, is that I want to try out the most popular hosting provider. JustHost is a very, obviously great for me to begin with. But their rule was is that if it gets too much that they have no choice but to suspend me or leave me a option to upgrade like with several unpopular hosting provider.

I am even thinking about VPS or dedicated server. To be honest, I just want to go on and be settled and not worry about anything in future, you know? But the thing is, JustHost isn't VPS or Dedicated Server.

You'll have the same thing on every shared hosting provider (even my very own, WiredStorm hosting company). Some clients of us were afraid that their site would get suspended if they'd use too many resources. But there are a few things that are pretty obvious, we don't suspend any sites unless they have an amazing amount of visitors daily who eat up all resources -- but then we send them a message about it and let them know that they should think about moving to a higher package or a different solution (like VPS). But at the time that you would have all these visitors (visitors don't come overnight) your website will have grown so much and so will your earnings have so it won't be that bad to move to a different solution.

If you don't feel comfortable with JustHost for that reason, I suggest you would move to a VPS now already since that's the case with every hosting provider (whether it be HostGator, BlueHost..).. and even then, you'll still hear the same thing from the VPS support. Which is normal :)

So like I already said, I'd just stay with my current package and you'll see when you would need to move. As long as you don't run a big-ass website that has so many visitors per day you won't need to take a higher package.

    Good luck! ;)

I think that it will be much more reasonable to choose time-tested and trusted web hosting provider in order to be sure that your web sites will be always online and accessible to your visitors.

Great, great. Thank you very much for your advice/help! I have made decided to stay with JustHost until it is out of control with traffics or any reasonable reason why I must either upgrade or to move to higher hosting such as VPS/Dedicated. Although, it's just that I want to go ahead and move to make sure that I don't have to worry about it for few/several years, that's all. But with your advice, I think I will stay with my current hosting provider until anything gets out of control.

Staying with your current host is probably a good idea if you are happy with the service you're being provided. If you didn't have a good experience with another provider previously, the chances of having another negative experience are pretty high and won't be worth the headache in the long run.

Yeah why do you want to move your files to another web host if everything works fine?

    I am not.

    And I am not.

The point of this was being fear of getting too much traffics soon and then like the most of hosting providers will suspend us. That's why I was wanting to make sure that it won't happen to me, as that's why I mentioned VPS/Dedicated Server.
