well done but just changing meta keywords is not all you need. There is much more to it then just keywords.

Good effort as this could be used with a few more modifications.

Smf already have some minimalist support for seo and with this mod is something more :) I'm tired to wait after smfseo.org to get a working version for SMF 1.1RCx

You should make this change the title and description tags(unless that is already done. I don't use SMF) because the keyword tag is useless in the new google.

The title is changed by smf by default. For description is just 1 line to change :) ...

    Thanks for suggestion

I think you should use the smfseo mod, once of the best that is available.

I'm waiting from March ... :) And I'm tired to wait. I study a little bit the sources and is not so hard to move the mod to 1.1RC3 ... but I need to study their license to see if I can fork it and release ...

    Wow, kudos for that! :D
If I had made that, I personally wouldn't have went public with it! :p Just shows the difference between the generous and the greedy right there, I suppose!

    Thanks! :)

You need to enable "Search engine friendly URLs" from smf admin area (Features and Options)

Excuse me, but what is the use for this?

I mean search engines don't use <meta> data to their ranking algorithms our days.

That was before many years. Now google may use it on their description, but they'll never use it for rankings.

well, you don't just want to rank, you want people to actually visit your site. So the description-tag IS important.
