Hello, I'm interested in donate, Somebody know where I can donate using PayPal? * Americares it's a real foundation? http://americares.org Site seems like SCAM but if it's a real foundation (that really help) I would be happy to donate by them. Regards!
Google has created a resource page for Japan. Google has listed five main charitable organizations on the top of this page under "Donations". It looks like mainly they're using Google Checkout. However, if you click on the "Save the Children" box from that page, you'll see you can make a donation to Save the Children using Paypal.
Hello, Thanks for your fast response. Save the children fundation help to general people in Japan or just the childrens alone? Regards!
I think they help both children and adults. On the Save the Children website, "Save the Children has a team in Sendai, one of the worst-affected areas, establishing an operations base to help the most vulnerable children and their families." Source: Save the Children
Thank you for your reply! I've sent my donation in Save the Children foundation, I hope Japan can back soon as the big country it was.
That was so nice of you. As a side note: You've already given, but in regards to Americares.org, it does appear they are legit. Just a minute ago, I went to Paypal. On the top of the page it says Japan Needs Your Help. Like Google, they listed a few charitable organizations for donations. Paypal seems to favor Save the Children, Global Giving, Hands on Tokyo, and the American Red Cross. However, the Americares Foundation was listed in the drop down menu of alternative organizations for giving. It's nice Paypal is getting involved as well.
