I am thinking of putting some money into advertising my site. Is it better to use google adwords or should I go with facebook ads? my site is shown in my signature
yes that's true but Google adword is in trouble since the begining of this year and nowdays too......
FB ads is simply no match for adwords. FB ads converts really low because of the nature of the website. Unless you have tons of money to spend on this, probably not good idea to jump on it.
I would recommend you google adwords advertising, because then you can start with a voucher of 100-110$, instead of a fb voucher of 50$, and you can see better the convertions, visitors....etc. So you know where to focus. Also every time i log in my facebook account, i am not tempted at all on clicking an ad.
I say don't using anyone of them..because I believe money should only be spent on ranking a site..not getting clicks that don't covert to sales. If you do..go to a big blog and pay for a sponsor spot..this will be a choice.
What I suggest is go for facebook ads than Google adwords..and don't bring visitor to your website..bring the visitor to the facebook fan page and from that fan page you redirect to your website.. What I suggest is start building list with facebook and facebook is the massive viral marketing.. PM me if you have more questions.. Thanks Alam
after using both, I have to say that facebook rocks, you can really laser target your traffic on there.
According to me you should go for Google Adwords, It shows your ads on Relevant category only. If your theme is related to shopping or social media then you should go for Facebook ads.
both is good for business Google add word use for intent business promotion and face book is promote your business visibility on back off page face book is good way to get free traffic for long terms
Facebook people are not ready with there credit cards to buy in,as they are in FB to socialize .Don't try to sell on facebook make it interesting something that is hot and making the news.Conventional ads doesn't work with FB and the conversion will be poor. So,basically to sum it up dependent on your niche
