I've recently launched a job search portal focused on local job openings. The portal offers instant, AJAX-powered searches over every major job source available, as well as supplemental information on different careers and industries.

I like your idea, but it looks a little too much like a Google wanna be, sorry, try a different design.

 

This isn't a web search, it's a job search. I have no intention of re-inventing the wheel with the best layout for a search type site, I just need suggestions for functionality and additional features.
