I do not agree with you.. He hs just asked "Today".. He is already doing all the required work.
With Google(& others SE) updates, SEO works also changed somehow.. Like this year when Google announce that it will also consider the link on facebook & twitter then these type of link become important. Its just an example.
So there can be always something new in SEO.

I find it amazing that people on this forum genuinely think that blog commenting and forum posting are the best SEO tactics!

 

In general I agree to you. From my experience can say that these tactics are good just for the beginning as a background of SEO. They surely cannot provide getting on the first page in Google for a keyword with at least medium competition.

Best SEO strategy?

The answer is obvious, it is acquiring high PR backlinks (probably you will have to pay for them, but you may try to find yourself). Most of other strategies are free but require too much efforts and have a low ROI (spent time and efforts/improvement in SERPs).

BTW, the next thing you must care about is your META description. A slight change there may increase/decrease your rankings dramatically.

 

Find those high pr backlinks are the trick...

 

After along time, I saw someone is saying that Meta description really play role in ranking. are you sure dude?
