I just migrate my site from shared hosting to knownhost vps hosting, the support are really well but the reason I move my site from shared hosting is because of loading taking too long cpu throttling isue so that I move it to knownhost. Size of my site is about 1,5 Gb and in google analytic I can see about 300 unique visitor a day. My problem is even I have move my site to vps hosting, it seem the loading still not make me satisfied.

Which VPS plan did you choose?
It might be the memory issue.
Your site(s) might require more ram attributed.
And also if you're using cPanel on the basic VPS plan, it'll lag more.

Have you also tried tweaking the conf files and also the sql files?
More so with dynamic websites, you may need to configure timeouts, max servers, min servers and also the sql values.
The script you use for the site or the support forum might have optimizing tips script wise or server side wise like database conversions.

You can also use mysqltuner and such to also help you tweak for your dynamic site usages.

I have been at KH servers for 4 years (pr 5) now and among all servers (the other 2 with other provider), KH has the superb customer service and when they say managed servers, they really are managed! :)

Their VPS come out stock optimized for general site usage.
I have to play around and tweak around some specs with trial and errors to get the values that can best accommodate my site's needs.

I believe that you shouldn't be so hurry.. Read customer hosting reviews about them (webhostingstuff is a good place to search for true customer hosting reviews).

Don't listen to ServerPoint. Knownhost has absolutely excellent reviews and is probably by far the best VPS provider in the industry, hands down.

What are your resources, and the usage, knowing25? As kaung said, chances are you're running out of something, most likely RAM. 300 unique visitors per day is hardly any traffic at all. If you're trying to cram an intense WordPress site or such onto one of their tiny VPSs, that could very well be an issue.

Aaa.. What about IWebHostU - Always they handle High Resources Servers and High CPU. Add SSD with Dedicated RAM. You should check the network speed b4 choose any hosting company VPS. Example: IWebHostU has 1000mbps Full Dedicated Network with Unmetered Bandwidth Ever. And Knownhost means 100mbps Network with VERY Limited Bandwidth mostly. So choose your VPS care fully, which one good for your site :)

With Knownhost I take package VS1, and after I ask to support my server is fine and the problem is in RAM (memory issue) and they suggest me to upgrade my RAM, so I upgrade to VS2 with RAM 728 MB, after I remit payment for this upgrade I hope this can handle my site and I still need your opinion, if I still get the same situation in RAM. do I need to upgrade to package VS3 with RAM 1024 MB? What type of site do you use and how many RAM do you use? Since it is only a BLOG with 1.5 GB total file size and 300 UV a day.

Frankly speaking i have heard both negative and positive feedbacks about them.

I would recommend you to widen the range of your search and check more options suitable for your needs.

Well since everybody else was able to access their servers (i.e. the network did not go down), that's usually indicative of a routing problem between the datacenter and your ISP. Nothing Knownhost can do about that. It's usually something your ISP has to resolve. You certainly can't fault Knownhost for that.

    300 is not that much.

Maybe your shared hosting is oversold that why you having loading time problem.

My advise is switch to other shared hosting then monitor the loading time.

After couple month with knownhost it has been great and for last 3 month I have pay $125. if other shared hosting can handle this kind of blog traffic, than I think I want to move to other shared hosting such as hostgator. If you have experience about how many visitor that can handle by hostgator please share it here.
