    OP's question is practical.

Alertpay & money bookers are competitors but, how common they are specially in USA users. There is no point in shifting from paypal to these if very few people dare to pay you through them.

Without linking your Bank account, how you will withdraw the Fund?

There is no security issue for linking your bank account.

The closest thing to a paypal alternative I would recommend would be moneybookers.

For me PayPal suits best. And I would prefer MoneyBooker as second, but not as alternative of PayPal.

May be. Because mosy of the customers prefer reliable payment gateway. They don't want to take risk for un0reliable payment gateway by puting CC datas.

After PayPal, it's either Moneybooker or Alertpay.

Look for those who accept PayPal on your behalf. Avangate does a very good job to filter the fraud for me.

Alertpay is more secure than moneybookers. So I will go for Alertpay
