how to get short url?

i have create a page, but the page url is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cheap-Prescription-Eyeglasses/195296240501871, how can I let url show as http://www.facebook.com/Cheap-Prescription-Eyeglasses

If you want to promote your fanpage on other sites then use any URL shortner tool but if you need your fanpage username with facebook then wait for few days and make 25 likes on your page then go to facebook.com/username and frm here you can change your fanpage name.

Go to the option settings of FB, where you have the choice of creating custom url names.

 

Works for less than 1000 now! just go to http://www.facebook.com/username to get the short URL.

 

how about tiny url? Once you start promoting your fan page, you will get the chance to rename it, better.

 

if you ask for FB then you need likes, if you need shorttener install one on your domain, better than giving it to other sites

and hit the enter now your page redirect to a new page where you will found your pages drop down list select you page and set your desire username and hit the OK button its done.

 

use 301 redirect for rewriting URL
